Global Quantise options

I would like to see more options for the global quantise feature in Traktor Pro.

A the moment the global quantisation is limited to 1 beat. I suggest more options from 1 bar (4beats) down to 3, 2, 1 (which is already there 😉), 1/2, 1/4, 1/8 of a beat (like in remix decks or Traktor DJ 2 for iPad).

Upvoted! I had a try at making a mapping for this by listening to the Loop Recorder position values.

It kind of works but it is strange to have to disable the quantize in order to quantize less than one beat :)

I record an empty 4 beat loop and have it looping all the time with it's D/W set to 0% just in case.

That loop is acting as a "master clock engine" that continueously spits out the values that are routed back into a mapping device. Modifier mechanics is complex to explain here but the trick is to find the specific controller range value that matches certain position in between the beats that you want to trigger from. Them modifiers are doing it's magic.

I know! Something so basic, already present in the Remix decks and on Traktor DJ 2 on iPad... so it is not something exotic for NI. The only chance we have is to reach the minimum 30 votes for NI to consider it.

So, spread the word! I did it on Reddit Traktor forums.

Am glad to see this request getting traction again, we requested this years ago and it got the attention of the NI team but then at the last minute got the reply that it did not get enough votes. Let's hope it gets noticed again. Something so basic and needed. They have it in the remix decks so I doubt it could be that hard to actually add it to normal decks. Hoping for the best.👌

Any update on this feature? I'm currently looking at buying an S8 but won't do it until this feature is available. I learned playing on Pioneer CDJs and almost every one of them have this feature as hardware buttons. Once it becomes available in Traktor Pro 3, I would like to map it to a physical button or pads to trigger it from there.

This is already possible in Traktor and has nothing to do with GLOBAL QUANTISE. You can use the beatmasher fx for this or use instant loops in flux mode.
