Keyboard style function

Good day,

I'm still missing a functionality that replaces me a keyboard with a software synthesizer.

Conrectely I'm searching for a piece of software that is capable to play styles like the Yamaha Genos keyboard does AND that is able to recognize chords and to harmonize the style parts (their melodies) according to the recognized chord.

I think that the Maschine software has a wonderful approach to come near to this goal.

Styles do contain many parts, fills, intros, breaks and endings:

Why not adding this technology to Maschine and Komplete Kontrol and make it a fully compatible VST style player with pre-recorded and pre-defined style parts and patterns??

The ReChord VST tool (https://www.rechord-vst.com/) currently is capable of recognizing (played or recorded) chords and transforming all the instrument tracks of the style according to the played chord. I'm sure you would be able integrating such a function too.

Why not let's make it??

Would Onyx Arranger 2.1 be of interest ? (site loading apparently is poor , is for me at least) : http://ntonyx.com/01_oa21_01.html

Hm, as far as I understand that this is not compatible with NI software - is it? It is a standalone app that needs external hardware, am I right?

If not, how would I use it in combination with Maschine or Komplete Kontrol or any DAW?

Yes , I think that it needs hardware for midi input , like a Komplete Kontrol keyboard...

I know next to nothing about midi , but as far as I have understood then midi allows for routing using 'virtual software cables' or something like that...

Anyway , I'm sorry, I didn't pickup on the the adding it to Machine , more on the head line "I'm still missing a functionality that replaces me a keyboard with a software synthesizer" which the program sort of does in as much as you apparently can just feed it midi and then it will help you make an arrangement..

    Quote :

To make Onyx Arranger play with Soft Synth you could use NTONYX MIDI Matrix. (Free)

To make Onyx Arranger play with standalone Soft Synth you could use Virtual loopback MIDI cable (apparently also FREE) for Windows 7/8/8.1/10/11, 32 and 64-bit.

Yes, but I need a software that is using the sounds that NI offers AND is able to behave like an arranger... Onyx Arranger as many other software only works standalone, as far as I can see or is very complicated to combine with the NI products... Every track will be needed to be configured manually. I would like one software do that all for me and simply "play" like I can on a keyboard (with the instruments that NI provides)...

Come to think of it then I would not be surprised the least if one could make something along the lines of what you want out of Voltage Modular modules... I am a total noob at that (also) so not saying that I have any real ideas, only I have seen amazing stuff slapped together with modules.

VM has both Harmony (e.g. from Weevil) and plenty Arpeggiator modules and the ability to slap on N.I. VST3 anywhere using the VST host modules. And if one takes a look at the modules of just a single developer like Adroit Synthesis then possibilities offered are amazing. Ref. : https://www.adroitsynthesis.com/bundles-comparison/

Further more , and that ought to be of interest !, then Voltage Modular acts as both StandAlone and as a VST3 Plugin . So it can be like sort of a Russian Doll where the VM plugin can host other plugins inside or be hosted itself while hosting...

Of course , to the novice it is all extremely complex and difficult , but the real beauty is that it can all be saved as presets inside Voltage Modular !

Anyway , I do not expect that you appreciate the idea ! 😎

Hm, I wished there was a software just doing what I would like to have - using the softwares (NI) that I already own...
