FYI, Windows defender reported this in a recent install. I am on Windows 10 Pro.
Best to contact Plugin Alliance for this. They may be under NI now, but it's still a separate place with its own customer support.

It is an absolutely false report. Assuming of course that your download is through Native Access and not from some other source.
Windows Defender is really a poor antivirus and it gives false alarms very often. I suggest to use a serious antivirus:
AVAST, Bitdefender, McAfee, ESET NOD32, Malwarebytes, Norton, Webroot, F-Secure, Trend Micro. Those are the Top-10 Antivirus.
However if you still feel insecure (which is very understandable), you can upload the file to the world-trusted Virus Total service, for a complete and thorough scan:
