Traktor Pro 3 - Phono/Line Input Channel "not supported"

Hello,

I seem to be having an issue with low volume when trying to play my Audio-Technica AT-LP140XP turntable out of Traktor S4 Mk3. Input into Phono/Line in B, setup onto deck D as a live input. Swapping to deck B, same outcome.

Traktor S4 Mk3 ASIO. Phono light not lighting up on controller. When I try and roll back the driver the screens on the S4 controller stop working.

Operating on Windows 10 Pro and latest Traktor Pro 3 version 3.9.0, driver 5.2.0

Any idea what is happening or what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks in advance.

Justin

Phono light not lighting up on controller.

I think you have to press SHIFT + EXT on the controller.

I don't think it's a driver issue, as this also should work in standalone mode.

Aha that was the trick for volume playback, thank you!

Still it says not supported in the Phono/Line input channel though? Interesting

Mhh, where does it say that?

    But everything works?

In the Audio Setup page in Preferences.

Audio is playing now so I'm not sure what it means.

I actually don't know what that is for 🤔

Edit: Ah, it's for hardware where you can switch between line in / phone via software. This is not the case on the s4 mk3, you have to press the buttons on the hardware. That's why it says "not supported"

Ahh ok, that makes more sense now. Greyed out because it is not needed with my current setup.

So everything seems to be working as it should, thank you 🙂

    Good day,

I have the exact same problem, with the same turntable same S4 MK3

I use Shift + EXT on the hardware and there is nothing happening.

I get no signal. I turned the Phono on and in the preferences same thing not supported ?

Can it be the firmware ?

Can you please help me :)

we give a party this weekend.

    Greetings Roger

I would try to install the ASIO drivers for the s4 mk3.

Then select those in the Audio device dropdown.

After you did that, and pressed Shift + EXT, show us a screenshot of the Input Routing settings.
