strange audio module behaviour

I'm using a vocal sample, it plays fine in a pattern and i can create a scene with it. When i try and arrange my scenes however, it the arranger view it doesn't play as part of that scene.

Even stranger, it plays for a scene it's not part of. It also doesn't seem consistent - it works fine for another scene in the arranger view. However if i shift the scene that it's working for towards the start of the track, i get the same behaviour - no vocal sample.

scene (1) red pattern 1 is the audio module that should be playing

It starts to randomly play in scene 1(2) when there is no red pattern 1 for that scene

any help would be appreciated here, i'm really confused :)

Does the issue remain if you switch to 4/4 instead of 4/8? I vaguely remember a similar post a while back with a similar issue.

@darkwaves i'm not quite sure how to express my thanks here....instant fix. I must have knocked it to 4/8 by accident. Really appreciate you helping me solve this.
