Microsoft Defender detects Trojan script on update file of Massive X

I was able to install it on one Win10 system and not on another.....

I noticed after a few tries that I could not install the new Massive X 1.4.3 update and that Windows 11 AV was blocking it. I assume it's a false-positive but wanted to confirm.

yep im getting same thing..just checked for updates and 4 were showing and all 4 were denied by windows defender it said they contained a trojan virus and it blocked and deleted the installers..this has never happened before with ni products whats going on?

I launched Native Access, which told me that I had updates including Maschine 2, version 2.17.0. When I tried to install it, Windows Defender blocked me, saying:

Detected: Trojan:Script/Wacatac_H!ml [Yes, H!ml, not Html]

Status: Quarantined

Details: This program is dangerous and executes commands from an attacker.

File: C:\Users\Public\Downloads\Maschine_2_Installer.zip

I'm sure I'm not the only person having this problem...

Well, the marketing department will be grateful.

How can a company like NI deliver such an update without having it tested in advance by the most common virus scanners - regardless of whether it is a false positive or actually a virus; 

completely unthinkable at my employer - marketing nightmare - without words...

Has this problem with some IK multimedia stuff today. Looks like its a defender false positive based on the number of people having issues with all kinds of random stuff

Whatever version of Windows Defender comes with that OS build.

I'm glad I'm not alone in this. I hope NI will sort it out soon--I've filed a trouble report with them too.

However Komplete Kontrol and Massive X installed just fine, just before that in the same "install all" run.
