The Maschine 4 (Speculative) Thread

My push 3 arrived DOA... couldn't boot at all in standalone, some pads played double.
The RMA was pretty quick as I got it in the second batch, which is still available.
So far, it has proven to be an exciting instrument! Loving it....
Got an M+ second hand, was super defective... false contact on the usb port, lots of freezes. Got to return it.Happy it worked out that way as I see that there MAY be a new hardware in the horizon... in the meanwhile P3 with MK3 for me.

It didn’t. :-p The excitement is definitely building tho!

Yeah thats what I though, was it you behind the mataDAW joke aswell? 😂
Excitement running high now, dies down within 2 months, then the update drops and either it really dies completely or rekindles again, can't wait!

Well…if one guy is behind these 2 presumed leaks and he falsely reported them just to have fun, I have only one thing to say: quite a strange sense of humor…

I won't even begin to think I understand fully the motivation of trolls. Either way, I look forward to next offering from NI on the Maschine front. At least there's a chance of an AMA which invariably will talk about the next generation of hardware (if & when it takes place).

Is there a new leak? I don't believe it's true but can anyone link it? I'm just curious.

There are no real leaks, currently.

I think NI already tried to downplay expectations of an upcoming update. Look at the typical update release notes and see these are typically maintenance updates. One can dream of course ;)

Talking about Maschine+, I’m at the point where even maintenance updates would be welcome
2 -
If they'll abandon Maschine+ completely for the new Maschine device I am leaving the NI cosmos.
I bought it first day full price and kept it through all the bugfixes.
But to be honest after 3 years it is deprecated regarding major updates or innovative standalone improvements.
I got spoiled by Akai.

I would actually welcome them fixing all the things they've broken.
But of course it really is in need of a proper major update, having been repeatedly pushed back time and time again for other 'projects'.
If it was a child, the neglect would have steered it towards delinquency by now...........

The new programming/CPU foundation of Play Assist in Kontrol Series MK3.
Perhaps this is key to the future of Maschine?
Think about it.
Musical events against a time line...

You are making my M+ more interesting now, knowing it is a potential delinquent 😏
The only thing is…from now I will control there is no knife in my studio… I don’t want to come back and discover my “M+ AlCapone model” has eliminated my MPC Live 2 and Force because they were competitors…😂

I think you'd have to explain that somewhat, especially for people who haven't any access to Kontrol MK 3 or been part of any discussions on it.

The new S-Series MK3 keyboards are different than the MK2 in that they have a on-device CPU that handles graphics for the on-device display and is capable of many more functions beyond that.
This on-device CPU will also be able to output MIDI data as part of the Play Assist feature... Arpeggios, Chords and such. Looked at broadly .. these are just events against a timeline within a musical context.
And what is Maschine fundamentally? Events against a timeline within a musical context.
Connect the dots and you have a shared foundation that can be built upon with fresh technology.
