Expand functions TRAKTOR X1 MK3
@MichaelK_NI In a first review of the configuration of the new MK3, these are the functions that I miss, I would add them as options to the existing ones:
Main menu:
BROWSE ENCODERS: (Add option total control).
Turn left: Browse Tree up/down
Shift + Turn (Right): FV Folders
Shift + Push (Left): O/C Folder
Shift + Push (Right): View
REV BUTTON. (Add option)
Push: Next Cue
Shift + Push: Prev Cue
SYNC BUTTON: (expand functionality).
Long Push: Shift for all buttons (Not only for the loop encoders).
Change layer: (expand functionality).
Additional page for Stems control. (Fx´s & Mixer Controls)
Others:
Layer change button:
-Enable the layer change button (3 stripes), so that it is mappable in MIDI MODE.
Compilation from other users.
-Do not turn off screens in MIDI MODE.
-Additional page for Stems control. (Fx´s & Mixer Controls)
-Have the long hold for open and close the MIDI Mode.
-Preview Player.

Shift + Push (Left & Right): Load track
In my opinion. It is not ideal setting to load a track with a combination of buttons. You won't see that on any native mapping of any manufacturer because it is not intuitive.
Since there is only one encoder per deck (like in my K2 and F1 mappings) I usually have the first press to open Browser and second press loads a track and closes the folder. I think that S8 Browser knob works in the same way and it would be perfect for X1 Mk3.
Can't wait for these to become available. I think only 8 modifiers will show it's limits and since screen functions are designed to expand to the MIDI mode I think it would make more sense to bypass default mapping entirely.

Yes exactly.
We need more modifiers!!!

Double Tap and Hold functions also work with knob press. Anything working with a single control (and only one hand) is a lot more to my taste and workflow.

Edit: If the screens continue to work in "Midi Mode" (Natively), this thread is meaningless, there is "no need" for the NI team to expand anything, that's a figure of speech. But I assume that you mean the QML edition, therefore, if I think you should have as wide a development as possible in your "main", in addition to being able to modify the native configuration through the control manager (As they have already announced that they will do).
On the other hand, I have also mapped controllers that act differently if the browser is open or closed, which is a good option. Although for navigation there is no better and cleaner option than tree and folders in the left encoder and "open browser and tracks" in the right (this is just my way of looking at it), I always prioritize agile navigation because it is one of the functions which is most used in the session. Although I have to admit that the shift + push request for loading themes is unorthodox, but when you memorize it it's fantastic, I personally only work like that with my 2 K2s.

I also want more modifiers.

I think the translation doesn't let me understand the first sentence exactly. Do you mean that with the same button, depending on whether you press it, 1 click, 2 clicks or hold it, it performs a different function? Just like Pioneer does. For example, the DDJ-REV1 offers the possibility to map that function in Traktor (Tempo range), I love it.
The second sentence, I totally agree with you.

Just for the demonstration purpose I mapped left and right sync function. I wanted to introduce this feature with MK3 but since the QML is enabled we won't need it. It will definitely be cool for the K2.

Short tap: function A
Two short taps: function B
Hold a bit: function C (immediately or on release)

There is definitely a need to expand default mapping because most Dj's don't even know how to remap a fader or won't bother do learn how to do it. Having a comodity to assign different functions inside the preferences then becomes a handy feature to have ability to easily swap controls to try out different things and find perfect layout of controls for them.

Yes. Thanks for recording this. Always good to have something to show. Did you use the increment/decrement (repeat) modifier for this? I think the x1 knobs must have this feature since they work with the f1 and k2 knobs. :)

It is a combination of Inc(modifier) and a Midi Knob. Probably more than 50 commands are doing this on a single button. Best part is, this can be applied to a computer keyboard too.

The brook finding it's way to the sea, no matter how convoluted the path. A thousand simple turns. ^^

That's beautifully said. Thank you.
