Maschine MK2 hardware does not start

Hi I am working on a solo album. And a friend of mine had a maschine set up he wasn't using.

So I wanted to check it out.

So we did the serial transfer and I downloaded and installed everything. But the software works fine but the hardware does not start. If I take out the cable of the Maschine and put it back in, it light up all the buttons one time But i can't get it to work. I went over multiple youtube tricks and other online "help". But nothing works.

Can someone please help me? Thank you...

And do you have driver for Maschine Mk2 installed? And on which OS and which version you want to use it?

Generally it should be supported on most versions of Win (there might be problems on Win11, not sure). It might be complicated on Apple, with perpetual changes in OS.

I installed everything I supposed to ( I think)

I will double check. But I think I installed everything through the Native acces

Teh error that I get is : driver is not available (code 28)

It looks like problem with driver....

Try to install it by hand. Maybe you have to uninstall one if already installed.... Mk2 works on Win10 for sure, I have used it on Win10.

And maybe updating firmware in Maschine Mk1 might be also fine. But I would wait, if reinstalling driver will not resolve problems.... Updating firmware always brings small risk of bricking the unit....
