Using the A25 keyboard outside Komplete Kontrol

I have the A25 keyboard, I’m figuring things out with using it in Komplete, but I want to use it for other VST’s in my Logic Pro project.

the problem is as soon as I try to use on another track that isn’t Komplete Kontrol, I loose the functions to change any parameters and all the buttons don’t work

the keyboard still functions, but I can’t change the scale/key etc

is the A25 only meant to be used in the Komplete plugin?

It is meant to have all these functionalities with NKS plugins (inside of KK, or Kontakt if we just talk about parameters).

With others you can use it in midi mode and if you want the parameters to be assigned, you have to map it.

Therefore what you describe is its normal way of working. Scale, key, premapped parameters are KK software functions (or better, NKS functions), not of the keyboard

You can load any plugin within KK to use Scale/Arp, does not have to be NKS compatible, that just adds the ability to browser and control easily. However the Scale/Arp functionality is only within the KK plugin, if it is not on a track then correctly as you have found, you lose access to all that and instead just ahve the basic MIDI function of the keyboard so if you need those features you need a KK instance with your selected plugin loaded within.

Correct. From my post it could seem that scale and arp were also just for NKS.

    Thank you for specifying
