Problems recordings mixes and using I controls of bass, tremble & middles

I have problems recording mixes and using the controls to raise and lower the bass, treble and middle (they are all blocked).

About the recording, it lets me do the recording but nothing sounds (I have selected internal source in the menu, thinking that the program would refer it to the sound card of the S2, by itself).

I give you some picks, maybey I have to change something else:

Thanks :)

In the section Output Routing, you have to select 'internal'. This will also activate the mixer controls on your controller (which one do you use btw?), as well as headphone output and the main/booth outputs. It also means you can't use your computer's microphone/speakers and have to connect a line from your controller to some standalone speakers. But this way you will be able to have a signal sent from your controller's audio interface directly to Traktor's internal recorder.

    Select internal in output routing.

Are the speakers connected to the s2?

Ok, I've put internal in the output routing.

Now the controls to raise and lower the bass, treble and mid are working.

On the other hand, I can't play the tracks. I have the speakers connected to the laptop, through the headphone jack (I prefer to do it like this).

Now all that remains is to get the music to play through them, and to record it with the S2's sound card (or with something else, whichever is better).

    I have a Traktor Kontrol S2

    Thank you :)

Put the Speaker-Jack into the headphone connection of the S2 and turn the MIX knob to the right end.

If you want, you can route your computer sounds to the S2 headphones as well.

If you want to use the laptops build in sound card, you have to select another device in the Audio Setup preferences.

But that probably also means you only will have either master OR cue, as the laptop only has 2 channels out (1 stereo)

Now it doesn't even sound through the speakers :(

I need the music to play through the speakers, being connected to the laptop through the headphones, and to be able to record the mixes I make.

    Please help me with this.

    Thank you

After you changed the audio device to the build in laptop one, check that output routing is setup correctly.

being connected to the laptop through the headphones

Where are the headphones connected to?

With Traktor you can only use a SINGLE sound device at a time. Either the S2 OR the build in from the laptop. If you want to use two devices, you will need to use 3rd party apps that combine multiple into a virtual one. For example VoiceMeeter Banana. But it's not easy.

It would be just plug and play if you would connect speakers and headphones to the s2.

I have the speakers connected to the headphones input of the laptop, and I want the music to sound like this connected the speakers (I was able to do it before), being able to use the Traktor S2.

After that, I want to be able to record my mixes just fine.

    That's all I need.

Well then select the laptop Audio device in `Audio Setup` and in `Output Routing` internal and route master to what I assume are the only two choices.

Select L and R in master.

Record can just be blank. It will still work.

I don't quite get why you would not connect the speakers to your controller?

How does your Output routing look like now?

Are you sure you selected the right audio device?
