Hi,

I absolutely do not like the look/interface of Guitar Rig 6!

Could it be possible (for those who would like to) to "downgrade" to Guitar Rig 5 ???

Hi @Imyself, welcome to the NI forum!

Guitar Rig 5 is a legacy product so we're not qualified to provide it to customers unfortunately. If you really want it though, perhaps you can search for a 2nd hand software?

5 days that i look everywhere on the net for a Guitar Rig 5 licence...

Truth is i just buy Komplete 13 update (from K6) and i really do not like at all GR6, and why took away Looper???

... and the interface look "poor", no relief, just flat pictures (to my taste),

but i must admit that GR6 is more user friendly.

oh! and something strange: with the exact same preset, it use "8%" in GR5, and "16%" in GR6 ...?

i have compare few presets, and it is often the double in GR6 ?

I assumed that too at first. In GR5, the presets ran in normal mode and not in HQ mode. I couldn't find any other difference.

never own GR5, (only use it at a musician friend place) i update from GR4 to GR6 (thru Komplete 4 to Komplete13)

This comment makes me a bit confused. I also have Komplete 13, and I have both GR5 and GR6 available in Native Access.

edit - on further inspection it does say "guitar rig 5 factory selection" in native access, which makes me think it's a lite version. But when I run GR5 and look at the info screen it says full license, implying it is not a lite version. Hmmm.

So I think because he never had GR5 but bought the upgrade from GR4 to GR6, it's not available to him in Native Access either. Native Access also shows the products that you also have available in your account with a license number. That will probably be the case with toddkc.

Not really, no. Not in the way Loop Machine worked in GR5.

I guess Guitar Rig is not at the top of NI's priority list, despite having been their flagship for years, in my opinion. They didn't finish the job. For example, they forgot to add such an obvious feature as the ability to change the tempo value of the metronome using the keyboard. I can't understand why Loop Machine was abandoned or how it can take so long to get that piece of coding into the new version. In any case, they should give dissatisfied customers some explanation about the technical, tactical, whatever reason and stop leaving us a little cheated.

(And yes, GR6 new amps and more stuff are great improvements.)

Hi @Drift Boss I'm running a guitar 6 rig, all other audio sources will be blocked. Can't use spotify, can't open youtube videos.
