I will continuously update this post as we learn more.
As per Jeremy_NI's post:
Any further updates will be shared through our official channels when appropriate.
I can hear all the commercials from the 80's and 90's repeating in my head. Now i have to drive them out! :p
Have a break-beat
Have a kont-kat
lol, funny stuff.
So April 27th is when the preliminary insolvency test results get announced?
My understanding is that the 27th is simply the end of the 90 day formal "investigation" period.
Do not believe there are any guarantees on a decision landing that day or some other day in the future.
VP
But some statements should be placed to calm waters. If there's someone buying or still going, etc.
NI Radio Silence only will make things worse.
"Radio Silence" is required by law.
Ni cannot make any statements regarding directions/decisions etc - beyond what was already stated back in the last week of January - that high level "we are fully operational" statement by Nick Williams.
I mean when the 90 days period (and any delay) gets out.
It could be "reasonable" some kind of statement from NI (backed by the actual government manager) to clear a bit the speculation. If not, at the moment that any document become available, people will research, find and expose.
Don't forget how we get the info about the whole process the first time…
My understanding is that NI's hands are tied (by law) - and the administrator of this process - is the only entity that gets to make any "official" announcements on the outcome.
Given the gravity of the situation and the (very) large reason this happened in the first place - this will take time. Potentially lots of time.
And speculation? What purpose does that serve?
If/when a final announcement of any decision is cleared for us (the actual user base) - we will all need to accept whatever is decided. Good or bad.
I was trying to same more or less that but with few nuances.
Last time NI communicated was to clear speculation, probably driven by that law administrator or almost with its approval.
Speculation comes from non clear statements and worry by users (or hate by detractors). The purpose from the users is to get sure their investment still worth the money or it's time to sale… that's happening since the rumors/news became facts. People would or wouldn't believe one or another based on their opinion and bias but the worry is intrinsic. Obviously haters have a different purposes from simple anger to clickbaiting vlogging, etc.
I'm agree and I was just pointing out about it will be useful for the brand that someone delivers a press release before any official document from the whole process arrives to government pages or these will arise again and start the speculation and madness once again. That's what I said in first term "Radio Silence from NI…"
It's clear NI is under that management but in the end the statement cames from them like the last time, not from the government administrator.
Each day after that 90 day trial will increase the worry and start the speculation. I expect some vlogs waiting/researching the same sources of last time and it's a very interesting (to me) the "coincidence" that well stablished blog with long time connections with NI was the first to arise the info…
Let's hope good news arrive soon and from the proper channels.
"Speculation comes from non clear statements and worry by users (or hate by detractors). The purpose from the users is to get sure their investment still worth the money or it's time to sale"
Speculation is nothing but a whole lotta "You do not know anything official so you are making yourself anxious by creating a scenario in your head". No value and no point.
And regardless of "who" makes the official statement - it's not official until it is. Regardless of when that this.
As far as customers go - VERY doubtful that anyone out there - except for maybe some of us in this thread - have any idea that a 90 day window is coming up this process nor do they care.
When the calendar hits April 28. Or the 29th. Or May 7 - no one will care. Any normal NI customer may have a mild interest when an official direction is announced. When that is - nobody knows.
Whatever the decision, it'll probably/maybe be announced on a Monday or Tuesday.
It's springtime here in Florida, and I've been busy clearing all the dead plants from the bad frost we got a couple months ago. But you wouldn't know we had frost, because it's already in the 90s F (32-33 C?) and is getting brutal in the middle of the day. Our summer rains haven't begun yet, so we're under fire warnings and restrictions.
I guess it's good to keep busy outdoors while all of this gets sorted out. I did hear about the "Aftertouch for Kontakt" thingie, though; and that sounds like fun. Hope you are all well. I'll be back after my spring planting is done.
We're in Florida in a couple of weeks - hoping there's no frost around !!!
Hmm, Izotope removed NI branding from RX12. It used to be in the upper right corner and now it’s not 😳
It’s probably nothing, but makes me nervous 😥
well if it helps, NI isn’t mentioned in the about box either. Although it’s downloaded from Native Access.
NI are at Super Booth, with some announcements- which starts on May 7th. EU holiday tomorrow, UK holiday Monday, so I expect we'll hear something by Thursday, if they wait until the first day of the show to announce anything company wise. If.
