Why doesn't maschine+ have Master Performance FX?

Hey all, question for other standalone Maschine+ users.

I’ve been building a live set and I’m struggling with what feels like a basic task: doing a master filter sweep into a new scene. It seems like a huge oversight that we can't add Performance FX to the master channel.

My current workaround is a clumsy finger-twister: set a long pattern, arm the next scene, jump to a macro to turn the filter knob, and then try to time a Lock snapshot with the change. It's not ideal for a live situation.

Am I missing an easier way? I'd love to know how you all handle your master transitions. Any workarounds would be greatly appreciated!

No one knows, people have been asking for ages, maybe its related to the fact that Master FX cannot be Modulated only Automated (external source).

I guess it depends a lot on how you structure your live performance, personally I'd go with a tiny external midi controller because this way knobs can have permanent access to Macros regardless of what menu you're in so you're not forced to go to the Macro Menu, this frees up one hand to do other stuff and it's nice to always have controls of the typical transitions FX, like Verb, filter, delay.

Some people use a MIDI loopback trick to trigger pre-saved Lock-States from Pattern notes, you basically connect the MIDI DIN Out to the Input via a small cable and enable 'MIDI Change', this way a specific notes on a Pad/Pattern can trigger the required Lockstates.

Perhaps a custom Reaktor filter set to be controlled via Mod Wheel (touch strip) could also work, not 100% this can be done since I'm not much a Reaktor builder.

Also, you can create a proxy Master channel.

Create a new group. Route all the other groups to that group. That group is now the master channel. Insert perform fx.

Thanks so much for the replies! It's good to know I'm not alone on this Master FX issue. I really appreciate you all suggesting two great workarounds. Definitely going to give them both a try!

This works but it breaks the ability to use the 'Solo Button'.
