I know. Im using OLD stuff. But I am trying to save a song I have. I managed to get Absynth to load in pro tools 12.5 but when I go to activate it it just takes me to NI web page.

Is there a way to manually enter my licence or use the old NI service centre to activate it, Kontakt 5 etc?

You don't write what Absynth version that you are referring to and Kontakt 5 could possibly still be activated using Native Access at this point in time , but for what needs off-line activation then you will have to ask N.I.Support (all) for assistance.

I see that you post is tagged Absynth 5 , which definitely should be able to activate using Native Access, whether you can do it using the OSX 10.11 that you use then I don't know but I will leave you some links that should be relevant , there are also download links on the compatibility page that I link to !

Just in passing. Excerpt from the Kontakt5 EULA.

5.Should Native Instruments, for whatever reasons, no longer be able to fulfill its obligations to deliver the activation key, it will provide Licensee with a key which ensures the continued use of the licensed software independent of changes to the computer.

No, no way to do it outside of Native Access. NI blocked every other way.

Your only chance is to contact Support and HOPE.

Some guys managed to have their help to activate things, but I suppose it’s a “try and hope to meet the right guy” thing… (or some threatening of “ I will fight for my right!” is also involved…)

Unluckily, we already presented this excerpt to their attention, and their answer was “the EULA changed”.

Then, when we underlined that the one we “signed” at the time was this one, they went back to radio silence…

How difficult would it be for NI to allow people owning the current version of Kontakt to use previous versions? Don't most software houses do this? It would solve problems for so many people. And I can't see how it would help pirates.

Come on, you Customer Service guys. How about it?

Agree 100% - Pretty sure it'd solve so many problems with licensing software for older hardware, like Maschine 1/2. Everyone wins, NI make a sale and the purchaser has working software. Pirates don't need help, they're quite capable of doing day-one releases already.
