Was this ever fixed?
No the question has not been answered.
It may be related but It's totally off topic, I'm not asking for troubleshooting just an answer to a simple question. He's asking for troubleshooting.
Right. The question has not been answered. Yet. Thank you for getting this!
However Mert_NI has stated he will be asking, which I appreciate, and I so of course I'm happy to wait for an answer. I mean all this confusion and conjecture etc, and all I did was write a very simple, clear and basic four word question, and that hasn't changed at allā¦. and that's all I'm asking, nothing more, nothing less. This thread going off the rails is nothing to do with me.
Question - Was the reg hack workaround ever fixed?
Answer - The reg hack did not make any difference
Spelling it out for even more clarification - the answer is clearly NO
š
Mert_NI:I still escalated this question to the related team and will get back to you as soon as I have an answer, but surely our team is working on a fix.
Oh sorry did you still miss this? ^^ I think I would prefer to wait for the definitive answer from NI thankyou very much.
OMG how much longer must this tedium continue? š¤£
No I didn't miss it. I referenced it in my earlier post (did you miss that?).
If the team is working on a fix, then it has not been fixed. If someone running the latest Maschine software is still having the problem, then it has not been fixed. If they applied the hack and it didn't work, then it has not been fixed.
That's a lot of IF's. Maybe NI support should have consulted you for the answer and not their team.
Again I'll be waiting patiently for the answer from NI, thanks. No need to comment further, there is nothing else to discuss.
āAll this confusion and conjecture etcā come from only one personā¦PK
To whom I would answer āOMG how much longer must this tedium continue?ā: it will last till the person who created it (you) will stop it
What?! How is anything I've said here confusing or conjecture? I've just compiled and presented the information that's been posted by other forum members.
The MIDI dropouts still occur with the latest Maschine version. The registry hack didn't change anything.
Conclusion - the issue has not been fixed. Simple logic.
The last post I see about this issue is August 2024. Maschine 3 came out in November 2024. It's now July 2025.
And somehow you've compiled and presented what information exactly?
So Columbo, do you have access to the developer code and their internal changelogs?
NI support cannot supply me an answer right now, but no doubt will.
.. and yet you seem to think you have the answer.
Funny that.
No, the last post about this issue was made in this very thread by lwspliff yesterday, who said that the issue was still occurring with the latest Maschine version and even after the registry hack was applied.
Therefore (based on said post) MIDI was still dropping out on July 9th 2025. You still need to question whether the issue has been fixed or not?! š¤£
I see so all this is based on one users experience where the reg hack didn't work, where we have no real idea whether this solution is applicable or not to his current situation (or do you think there is only one cause of MIDI drop outs?), and where we have no idea if the reg hack is actually a valid solution for anything anyway in Maschine 3 because that hasn't been confirmed by NI Support.
But hey you know better than all of us including NI Support who will be trying to answer my question (when they get more info) that you seem to already know the answer to. Gotcha.
Why don't you try it yourself if you're not prepared to accept what's been posted?
You wanted to know whether it's been fixed. If it had been fixed, how come the issue is still happening?
The poster clearly stated that the dropouts did not occur with other software. Only Maschine.
I'm just using logic and common sense, working with the info in this thread.
Oh boy ā¦..
So apparently if that reg fix doesn't work for one user, that means it doesn't work at all in any related scenarios.
Also because it happens for one user we must conclude it must happen for all users based on "logic and common sense".
And now because other software works, and Maschine doesn't, only for this one user right now, we must conclude that somehow this is just a Maschine issue without any knowledge at all of the specific scenario, setup or config.
And apparently all these things are something to do with my original very specific question.
And apparently this guy knows better than Native Instrument Support who has gone away to research an answer my original question.
Help me mummy...
Hello guys, with all the respect of every thought about this subject, I would kindly suggest let's wait for an answer from the Maschine team for the best answer and I will let you guys know when I have a clearer answer.
I hope this helpsāŗļø
Exactly.
Thankyou!
Hi CakeAlexS,
In my case, the MIDI drop-out problem does not appear to be resolved. 'No, I guess' should have been my concise response.
I posted here as I thought it complemented your issue; apologies if I got things wrong. Until I saw your post, I believed the drop-out issue to be down to my setup. I have spent many hours trying to resolve it, so thank you for highlighting the old post.
To confirm, the registry hack did not work.
Thanks to all for their assistance
