Is there any intention to release an all-in-one device that replaces the Traktor S8?

Given the success of the Traktor S8, is Native Instruments likely to release a new flagship controller with enhanced features such as larger touchscreens, more integrated effects, and deeper software integration?

    First: I am not employed at NI and just a user of their products, therefore I have no knowledge about this. And if I had I surely wouldn't allowed to talk about.

    Considering how long Traktor Kontrol S8 isn't available anymore I don't expect an S8 Mk2 or another direct successor to be released at all. Usually NI sells a product until the successor is available. (S4 Mk2, X1 Mk2, Z1 were all available until S4 Mk3, X1 Mk3 and Z1 Mk2 were available). Especially as S8 left some classic paths (no jog-wheels) it was a niche product somehow - like S5 and D2. And all three were discontinued without direct replacement.

    I sincerely hope you are wrong maniacintosh81. I have found a midi mapping for the Machine mk3 that fills the gap for the lack of a D2 or a F1 on steroids. It's awesome. But I still hope NI make a Modular Deck D2/F1 mk2 with a usb slot OMG a stand alone... You could load your user settings to the usb or select default for effects, like the rmx1000. It would be a genuine rival to a cdj. The S8/D2/F1 work flow is superb x4 channel faders Pefect. Just missing a pitch Fader. I time my vinyl to remix/stem deck but it would be great to have a dedicated pitch fader, keeping it standard. NI just make better gear and the software has caught up to product. Please and Thank you NI.

    Would love a D2 Mk2 myself and at best a modular Traktor Z4 as mixer component with 4 channels. But it isn't to be expected - especially not as standalone. Would be great though.

    Since switching to mixing in stems I have a constant panic that there will not be a successor to the S8. I know other controllers allow you to mix with stems, but I hate the thought of having to switch to a convoluted method and with a binary (on or off) stem control.

    i personally think Traktor is the best DJ Software on the market and it would be nice to have Standalone gear with this Software implemented. I think a Lot of dj‘s will than switch from Pioneer.

    Why DJs are using Pioneer DJ/AlphaTheta so much? Because it is the equipment they find in almost every venue. 2x or 4x CDJ plus DJM. You just have to bring your prepared stick. Done - ready to go. Don't bring your own controller, don't bring your own computer. Just connect your USB and headphones. Most popular DJs use - of course - CDJs plus DJM. This dominance is hard to break and would need much more effort than NI can provide. This isn't just a challenge of offering the best hardware and software. It is more a marketing and sponsoring challenge. And from my point of view AlphaTheta/Pioneer DJ doesn't even have the best hardware and software. Their products aren't bad at all but rather expensive for the given feature set if I compare to others. But they are large enough to cover almost any thinkable price point from beginner to pro and they are already present everywhere.

    And if we look at NIs product lineup in general: Standalone is not their way. Many controllers to control your DAW, DJ software, Groove Box running on your computer and much content and software but with Maschine+ only one device which can run standalone. And that isn't getting much love. Still not compatible with Maschine 3 software, cannot run all content in standalone.

    I understand the desire but it is very unlikely that we will see such a device anytime soon.
