Recording Kontakt Chord Tool Notes Into Maschine
I'm playing around with some chord progressions using a Kontakt instrument + Chords Tool, and would like to record the individual notes into Maschine. However, when I hit record and start playing, Maschine only records the sound, alongside the single MIDI note that I was hitting to play the chord in Kontakt. Is there any easy way to record all of the notes of a chord into Maschine?

Hey there, you can easily drag and drop the chords into patterns:

Thanks Jeremy! I had tried that, and it worked for the first chord, but when I try and drag a second chord into the sequencer, it just overwrites the first chord. Am I doing something wrong?
Also, is there any way to record the notes normally? Or is the drag and drop the only easy method?

Hello,
You can drag and drop all the chords using the little icon to the right of the chords. Except that it doesn't work, when dragging and dropping all the chords are superimposed.
Jeremy can you confirm this ?
(I wanted to post a short video, but the forum refuses)

Yes. Drag-and-drop MIDI replaces whatever is currently on the Pattern.
Kontakt has all Chords drag-and-drop too, here:
But that won't work in Maschine either… 🤷♂️
The only solution I can think of is to create a new pattern before adding each chord, then use copy paste to get all of them in the same Pattern, quite annoying.

I don't understand: drag and drop in Ableton Live creates a track for each chord instead of creating the chord progression on the same track. And with UA Luna, drag and drop doesn't work.
