Z1 MK2 Overmapping Issue

When switching to decks C+D, the midi messages remain the same being sent to Traktor. So, there’s no convenient way to overmap a 4 deck mapping.

Is this something that can be fixed with some xml-fu?

    You come from using other NI controller and it's MIDI mode? Default mapings work different and when factory override doesn't work then you need to use modifiers to recreate a whole thing from scratch.

    I only found that soft takeover is not working when you switch to CD layer. But this is 2-channel device and not many DJs will figure out issues with CD layer…

    yeah. I’ve been using X1’s for years. Is it possible to bind a modifier to the a/b and c/d paging with the z1 mk2 by editing the qml, like you can with the x1 mk2’s?

    Yes but doesn't guarantee there will be the same issues. Anything with screens got the QMl mapping involved but it also means the more we addopt QML there wil be more and more issues with the Controller Manager as it becomes super outdated.
