Machine crackles every few seconds when used as primary Audio Interface. Even outside of NI Software

Anybody have any ideas as to why this could happen? It pops when I'm watching youtube videos or just playing music through my browser. It has pops whether I set it to ASIO or WDM. It pops whether my buffer is at 96 or 1024. I've reinstalled, Installed drivers, Tried ASIO4All, Tried windows power settings, tried all combinations. It doesn't even change a little bit.

If I hook the outputs to my Scarlett 2i2 it sounds just fine. Not a single pop and the Maschine softare (and hardware) work just fine in combination with my Kontrol S61.

I'm heavily leaning towards faulty hardware. I purchased this on Ebay. It came in the box and everything. Looks brand new almost.

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas before I start a return. I really love it… but I Can't work with this popping/crackling.

It also does this with or without a power supply installed and I am using the NI official power supply.

i would look at your setting inside your windows audio settings… and set the sample rate, to that of the audio hardware(scarlett2i2)

ideally you want your sample rate to be matching… across the board… ie …in every application you use

if the samplerate is different in applications or windows to that of the hardware… a conversion process takes place, which sometimes results in crackles pops etc..

so ideally change your sample rate in the windows audio settings to match that of your hardware… 44100 or 48000

likewise when using samples inside applications…. follow the same rule, of using matching sample rates
