Is it still possible to get the Full Maschine Library (Maschine 2)?
Hi! Before Maschine 3 arrived, Maschine Micro Mk3 users had an option to purchase the full maschine library, so they could have the same material than the Maschine Mk3 users: https://web.archive.org/web/20230325163049/https://www.native-instruments.com/en/products/maschine/maschine-accessories/upgrade-your-library/
I would like to have that library in order to share projects with friends with Maschine 2.
However, that URL (outside archive.org) redirects nowadays to the Maschine 3 webpage. I understand that the Maschine Central pack contains new stuff and it does not include the Maschine 2 library, right? Or does it? The numbers don't suggest that when reading both descriptions.
I wanted to ask NI Support, but they request the SN and I'm collecting info before purchasing. I have found sellers with Maschine Mikro mk3 and some with software 2 and some with software 3 (which includes Maschine Central).
So, does anybody know if that Full Maschine library is still available somewhere, or the only way is purchasing separate content to re-build it nowadays if getting a Maschine Mikro Mk3?

Hello,
the library is not the problem, you can´t open a project saved with a newer maschine version than yours. As far as i know that library contains everything maschine libraries had before. And as an original mk3 owner you would now buy the central expansion.

no , maschine 3 comes with maschine central library, which is different to the maschine 2 factory library
The mikro mk3 originally came with Maschine 2 and factory essential library , ( smaller library made up from the factory library ) but now comes with central and maschine 3
You can’t buy it from NI anymore as it’s been discontinued
You can get it by , buying a used jam with software license transfer , or a new/secondhand unregistered jam , or a used mk3 with maschine 2 software transfer , a used studio + software transfer, probably with a used mk2 +software transfer , maybe an old mikro mk2 +software transfer . I think they all originally came with the full library.
Failing that , you could get your friend to save with samples ,and save any instrument preset as user sounds or groups

I honestly don't understand why they don't still offer it as an expansion, it's just sounds.

yeah , I agree , kinda odd they discontinued it

Thank you. So, just to be sure that I understood correctly:
Let's say that I purchase, instead, a Maschine Mk3 with software v3 (brand new or second-hand with transfer ID). Do this mean that if I open any project made with Maschine Mk3 software v2, I will surely not only have not the proper samples/instruments/etc., but also I will not be able to find them anywhere? So my only chance is purchasing a Maschine Mk3 with software v2 to be able to open correctly those projects?

Actually, looking into it, old Maschine libraries are available via the support area (listed as legacy installers) and although they're named as library 1.3.X it appears these are the Maschine 2 libraries…
I just checked the version numbers I have in Native Access and the releases go from 1.3.2 to 1.3.9 for the "Maschine 2 Factory Library".

Maschine 2 software will be enough to have the factory library, no need for an hardware.
About the library numerations, the various Factory library are not the same. In my Maschine 2 software I have many banks: Maschine 1.8 Library, Maschine 2.0 Library and Maschine 2.5 Library

Yes, I have the same - in the software. I was referring to the numbering of the releases in Native Access.

yeah but if you haven’t got a license, native access and maschine won’t let it work

you’d need a second hand mk3 that comes with the maschine 2 software license, it could also include the maschine 3 license if the seller has updated , but the important one is the maschine 2 license, with factory library, you could then upgrade to version 3 if you wanted too
Any new mk3 will come with the maschine 3 software and maschine central expansion

I'm not claiming that it will work without a license.
The poster is on the verge of purchasing, but wants access to the old library for the reasons given, so I'm suggesting that it can be downloaded from the support area.

Good idea , you could just find someone selling the software as long as their software version originally has the full library

But in the Maschine 2 era, Maschine Mk3 came with the Full Factory Library (8 GB) and Maschine Micro Mk3 with Factory Selection (1.6 GB):
About this, it doesn't seem to be complete (2.5 is not available) and there isn't any version in that webpage for Windows 64-bit (my current platform). So I guess it won't upgrade the Factory Selection if I purchase the Mikro Mk3 with software 2.
Software v3 seems to not include the same library than software v2. So having software v3 wouldn't solve my problem.
That means that I would need someone with Maschine Mikro Mk3 that also purchased the Full Library after. very few possibilites. Not found at the moment (at least announced).
So, it's not possible at all to have it then apart from this last solution or purchasing instead Maschine Mk3 with software v2? So people who purchase a brand new Maschine or Maschine Mikro with software v3 can't load instruments/samples/etc. from projects made with v2? That's weird0 -
the factory library was updated alongside maschine software
So you had maschine version 1 , then an update with 1.8 , then maschine 2.0 and 2.5

Yes, I know ☺️
