Crackling sounds everytime I touch the computer or randomly

In the middle of the gig, Traktor started playing crackling sounds when touching touchpad of the laptop. It occurs only when fader for any channel is up.

Afterwards, I tried removing Traktor 4 and installing 3, disabling everything from device manager you can think of, playing with latency settings, turning off discrete graphics, etc.

I can't resolve the problem.

I used it for a year without any single problem and it started by itself tonight.

Few versions of Traktor tried.

Laptop is very capable as I use it for power electronics design duties and it still doesn't stutter there.

For all laptop users that support variable refresh rate read this!

I finally managed to solve it by DDUing all graphic drivers and turning off all variable refresh rate options. It activated by itself probably on some power saving mode occasion and stayed like that.

Traktor doesn't play nice with variable refresh rate on Windows so make sure to disable it! Wasted 8 hours on nothing.

Now I don't have older Traktor than 4.2 and it's unstable, it was crashing randomly since installing. Anyone got 4.1.1 installation somewhere?

LatencyMon results. I tried everything I found on Google but no luck.

It looks like the USB driver is giving you those CPU spikes. Fader being up let's you hear the issue but it most likely happens even with faders at 0% position.

Check the power plan and try to disable the "USB Selective Suspend" setting. Also check your CPU min and Max speeds. If not set both to 97% or so. (not 100%)

It sadly didn't help. I can't get what's wrong, 1500$ machine is unusable for Traktor. I heard I should try disabling C states and SpeedStep but it's locked out in HP BIOS as there's no option offered. What bugs me is that it worked perfectly before.

I managed to disable them via dedicated software, they weren't problem it's exactly the same still.

I do not have any link for that and it sounds as you have not upgraded from a previous version so this is most likely of no use : How Can I Downgrade my TRAKTOR to an Earlier Version?

I had it previously in backup folder in program files but since I didn't solve this problem instantly one of the things I did was clean reinstall so I lost it all.

Frequent source of crashes on 4.2 is duplicating track deck as far as I noticed, never had that before 4.2.
