@Bruno_NI I've just updated and it's working for me! Thanks!

ive just updated to 3.5 and the problem still persists. it is slow switching between presets using the arrow keys. this lag did not exist in kk2.9.

i got so excited when i saw the release notes but it was an anti climax when i discovered it is still the same.

i am using the stand alone version of kk3.5, no difference at all. i really wish you guys at ni would have just stuck with 2.9. i think just about everyone who used 2.9 is unsatisfied with v3 onwards

please please please go back to 2.9 and make it compatible with mk3 keyboards

Are you on Mac? Seems like the solution implemented favours the PC version as two PC users reported its solved for them and Mac Users didnt report as its solved according to the Excel file shared in this thread…

While there are some missing features yet to migrate, very few people used those features.

Whilst we do hear about it here (understandably) and @Chris_NI and co continue to migrate features where possible, amidst other developments related to both Kontrol and Maschine, a vast majority of our userbase switched happily to v3.

I don't want to invalidate your feedback - it is real and it is valid. But I want to both encourage and reassure you that we really do prioritize holistically, and this influences the order in which feature request are addressed.

It’s certainly a big improvement on Mac for me as long as I scroll using key presses rather than holding the arrow keys, that’s now as fast as I can press.

It’s not 100% solved as holding the arrow keys still results in jumps and freezes but I still think there is another factor at work here other than database size.

i wish i had the same experience, mine is still slow. 2.9 software with mk2 keyboard was so smooth. when using a synth like absynth (non kontakt product) it was pretty instant, but now there is a lag.

Sorry to chime in here, but it's simply not true that "very few people used those features". Even if this phrase has now been repeated by NI many times since almost two years, it doesn't become any truer.
You know exatly that many people are opted-out when it comes to submitting user data to NI. So, if only things are believed which can also be measured by your automated counters, I guess your results may be completely inaccurate. And even if not all users are frequently using all those nice KK2.9.6 features you would call "power-user features", what's wrong with that?

Let's say you have bought a fast car you can 100% rely on and from which you know by experience that it can reach a certain maximum speed. Someday you decide to do your regular car service at the workshop because some software updates have also been recommended to you. You hope for the best, as you're expecting improvements that have been promised. But instead, the workshop mechanic degrades your car by electronically limiting your maximum speed, even there is no law in place to enforce such an act. The mechanic doesn't even tell you in advance to do so. You finally get your car back and must sadly find out that from now you cannot drive your car anymore as fast as you could before. Officially, only the new software is supported by the vendor and you get told that you must live with that fact.

Would you really like to get treated like that? Of course, nobody drives his car at 100% maximum speed all the time, but if this is sometimes appreciated or even explicitly necessary, why should the car owner suddenly give up his car's capability just because someone else has decided to do some backwards-looking changes to the vehicle? And if the owner is asking why this strange thing has been decided without even asking him in the first place, he just gets the answer that nobody needs to drive that fast anyway. It's all in the name of environmental aspects and reducing costs. Sorry, but this is exactly the symbol that applies to the KK3 introduction, and for sure I don't like that kind of policy.

'very few people used those features'

This is not really true - almost everyone who makes use of the NKS user library and other providers of NKS patches make use of those features in that they benefit from the hard work of the power users who relied very much on those features to create customised NKS libraries and instruments, and have to resort to unsupported methods now to continue to use them. This seems to be something NI are just not understanding ironically - NKS is an ecosystem, some people may use some features, others may use less, some have more skills, others less, many collaborate to share knowledge, skills and resources, and together the community of users is able to do a lot more than if they were just isolated individuals.

i guess your claims of 'very few' are being disputed. please do us all a favour and make 2.9 work with mk3 keyboard

Just to reiterate, this is not a new feature we are asking for, this is fixing a missing feature/function with the latest version of the software.

I want to say the same, this is something broken that worked in 2.9 and earlier not a feature request for something new. Scrolling through previews of sounds is a basic part of the software nothing fancy or power user.

I've recently upgraded to an M3 Max Laptop and it's improved it but as others have said still stutters and has issues when you hold the arrow keys down. This has been a long time now and a pain. The NKS system is so useful and fast to find sounds, using NI stuff as well as Arturia U-HE etc… and I used lots from Freelancesoundlabs as well that have worked perfectly till 3.0. I'm using a MK2 Komplete Kontrol keyboard. I don't see enough to upgrade other than a bigger screen and I liked the Maschine intergration I still use so don't want to change my controller at the moment and shouldn't have to if that solves it.

Ok I spoke too soon, it does seem to be fixed for me. I'm on an M3 Max Pro, Komplete Kontrol version 3.5.0 I can now scroll fast with arrow keys on a Komplete Kontrol MK2 61

Thanks for the feedback. You mean you can hold down the arrow key and have the same srolling through preset speed as you have with 2.9.6? Did you change something from your first post that you got an improvement?
