This is being talked about for the past 5-6 months (info going back and forth), but yet there is not one single thing that has happened or has been hinted at yet unfortunately.

the day Phase Essentials package arrived and I opened the box and read:

    “ Hello from Paris” I knew I was F@€k#d

Yes, regarding the back and forth, definitely, but the fact that they already had a working version up and running and they just needed to implement it was new to me.

Okay, I didn't know that. Good catch!

Traktor's timecode is actually set to 2.5 kHz. Switching to 1 kHz seems to work with this "trick," but as soon as you have to recalibrate your deck or phase, it wouldn't work anymore. Or rather, the steps would have to be repeated. Which would probably be quite cumbersome in a live situation. I'll test it this afternoon/evening.

just gave it a quick test! It works great for a couple of tracks, always have to switch internal/reset tempo/relative when loading a new track, but then its random the drift comes back, calibrate remotes taping… so not a solution/fix… sad

so, Traktor v4.2.0 is out, no HID support!

Even VDJ now supports Phase via HID.

Why the hell can't you get it right after all these years?

Just tell people you're not interested in implementing it, then they can at least consciously turn their backs on you and switch to the competition.

It's truly pathetic how you treat your DJ software so poorly.

The main thing is that your next plastic bomb gets one update after another :-/

No matter what your customers want, you basically do the opposite or nothing at all.

I've been using it since v1.27 and I'm so sick of it, i can only advise everyone to switch to VDJ; you get used to the new GUI pretty quickly.

You should also check out MIXXX.

Since v2.5.0 MIXXX has also implemented KeyFinder (by Ibrahim Shaath), and with it, better key detection than Traktor.

I wrote to the guys asking if there was a way to implement Phase HID.

    Fingers crossed :)

"you get used to the new GUI pretty quickly"

The GUI can also be totally changed, so you could quite easily have the GUI you were familiar with.

I would love to see Phase HID in Traktor. MWM have previously stated they've offered NI everything needed to implement it. As for NI having urgency to make it happen, are there more than 10 or so headlining acts that still use Traktor with Turntables?

Well there sure will be less and less. It’s a shame because Traktor was the golden standard for turntables.
