Operating system compatibility

Hi. I have an older Mac that I want to use for a live gig - so I can access the Alicia Keys piano.

Mac is 2015 and only on iOS 10.10.5 (Yosemite). Is there anyway I can get the Alicia Keys piano onto that Mac to play through logic? I tried to get Native Access to download it but said the iOS was just too old..

Any other work around? Really don't want to buy a new lap top just to access the 1 good piano for live work..

Grant

In this page you can find Native Access 1.5.1, the last version compatible with your OS

    https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000407909-Native-Access-Legacy-Installers-for-Older-Operating-Systems

The only problem: they are about to abandon NA 1, so you must be fast to install anything you need…

    Hi.

Thanks a lot for the quick response. I downloaded that legacy version but then it just kept saying download failed when it tried to open the App and that if the problem persist, upgrade to the latest version of NI!! So, perhaps I am stuck in a legacy vortex!

The original Alicia Keys piano apparently does not require newest Kontakt where as the Electric keys appear to need at lest version 7 something.

The greater problem is that even if you should manage to fiddle it all to work between the help here and from support then using a not supported OS will not serve you in the long run. Most people with Mac here including resident N.I. Customer Care person who is a Mac expert will most likely tell you to upgrade your OS and if need be your computer.

Of course then you and others who would like to stick with their old hardware of course have a point (I have been there myself and only upgraded my then around ten years old PC hardware at the end of last year). But alas then the newer music software and hardware also require all that newer computer hardware and OS.
