Native Access won't download instruments

Hi, I upgraded to KOMPLETE 15 but Native Access won't download anything. If I click on an instrument and choose "Install" it just goes straight to "paused". If I go to the queu and try to force it by hitting the play button, it says "Download failed".

I have the latest version of Native Access. My internet is fine with everything else. I've tried changing the download destinations. I've given Native Access and Kontakt full disk access, it can access location services, I've tried turning off the firewall. I'm out of ideas. Can someone help me? (PS. on a mac studio M1)

First: I don't have any experience with Mac, but nonetheless it's a strange problem.

Do you have enough free storage? Everything you download needs to be stored before it can be installed, and that obviously requires space. If you check the settings you'll probably find a download location, make sure that the drive its on has enough free space.

Second… this is probably not it but I still wanted to mention it: did you make sure that you're using the right account? Tried logging out & back in again? (again: this is probably not the issue but.. still wanted to mention it).

Also: how long did you wait? What did you try to install? Some instruments are huge and could take a while to download & install.

    (edit)

Maybe a stupid question but: are you using the latest version of Native Access? At the time of writing this would be 3.17.0? See Help ⇒ About Native Access if you're unsure.

All of the above… but also take in consideration that NI servers could have momentary issues. Many different reports (and a personal issue) I saw in the last couple of days makes me think that.

So…even a simple “try again later” (today, tomorrow,…)

Thanks for the advice. I have everything on an external drive with plenty of room and I only have one account. I do have the most recent version, so maybe it's just a temporary NI issue.

    Hello isitmodern,

Please make sure you are running Native Access 3.17.0 by either updating or downloading it from our website:

    Native Access 2

If you are receiving the "Download Failed" error message, please perform the following steps:

    1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click [your name] at the top of the sidebar.
    2. Click iCloud on the right, click Private Relay, then turn off Private Relay.

    I hope this helps☺️

My private relay is already off. I already installed the new version.

Still just automatically says "paused" and queued and if i hit play it says download failed.

Too late…he already accepted (immediately) his own answer…so you must take it as correct.

Your problem is solved, even if you don’t know 😂

Now that I look at the other answers in this forum, it seems this happens often. People asking, and getting no help except a link to an article that does nothing to help.
