Why didn't NI update the previous session guitars?

Two thoughts at once is possible.
Yup, i do not disagree on that.

Well, it's what it's written, it's a collaboration with a third party, it's part of Komplete so it's a NI product made in collaboration with a third party.
And to answer the original question @swingmix, although @Sunborn explained it pretty well. These are sample libraries, they're not synths you can add features or new sounds. There are regular new libraries covering different music styles and guitars. Sometimes new features are brought to these libraries as they're made at different points in time.

That’s what I thought. But it’s not always “crystal clear” (and in facts Vocalpoint, which is quite expert, saw it differently). Even being “part of Komplete” isn’t a 100% confirmation. In the past, before Brainworks and iZotope were part of NI, some of their products (and other brands?) were included.
Suggestion: now that NI website has more third parties products listed than NI’s ones, a way to indicate which products are “officially” NI’s one would be nice.
At least to make clear what products are eligible for vouchers. And saying in the vouchers rules “only products with the NI logo” or something in this ballpark. It will avoid users coming after to support saying “but I thought that…”

That does not excuse bad life cycle management. I only hear weak excuses. That's my criticism on the matter. Plan to uphold quality on products long term and plan for (at least) one big mid cycle release on most products.0 -
Sorry but, what do you mean by "make better products"?
Are you unaware that NI is among the 5-10 leading companies of the music industry and their products are consider top-quality, worldwide?
Are you unaware that those products used by thousands and hundreds of thousands professional musicians?
After all, and forgive me if i sound blunt, it is their word, against few disappointed users word. And personally as i am both, NI user and artist, i will take their word, since i am also fully satisfied with the products.
That said, it doesn't mean that there is no room for improvements and even better products!
But this is completely different than saying "make better products" as if they are something "second class". It is poor judgement and it gives very wrong impression to new users (even if they have nothing to complain).

Again you can have two thoughts once. I still use said company products and being critical and providing feedback where I think they should do better. Both should be allowed.
Not to sound blunt, but there is a lot of fanboyism coming off you so maybe tone down the defend NI rhetoric. Normally I tend to mute this.
Remember this is a forum where you ask for help and provide feedback to the dev teams.

No argue here, though you obviously missed some of my comments where i actually criticized NI for various things… but criticize and discredit are two very different things. So i'm nobody's fanboy though i am definitely a fan.
And as a user, i have to be based mostly in my own experiences, not on other's words. So, what? You want just your opinion to be heard but not the other side? How this is justified? Or do you want me to lie about my good experience? Because this will never happen.
Remember this is a forum (aka a public place, not a personal space) where you will get help and provide feedback. You can do it without devalue something valuable.
As i wrote, criticism and discredit are two very very different things.

Descredit? Ok, fanboy. Muted.

so, incapable to participate in a civil discussion with different opinions, it is…. fine by me :-)
…and for the record, i'm probably much much older than you, so you can call me a fanman if you wish… i stopped been a "boy" many decades ago… 😊

Not good faith from my perspective. I also tend to mute way quicker so have been way more lenient here.
I'm here to give feedback and hopefully see improved products. I'm not here to debate and waste time with NI fanboys who goes after anyone with a critical opinion.
Now move on.

You really don't get it, right? I was originally answering to the guy who posted, to clear some things to him, not to you. Then you jumped in uninvited (even if you made clear that "you are not here to debate" -your words-) and putted your blah-blah cassette on loop. And as a typical arrogant you wanted only your side of the story to be heard. Well, this is never going to be happened.
Then, you are ordering others to "move on". I'm afraid that you are not that important. You probably have a big idea about your self, but this won't work here. And clearly you have no idea about what good faith is.
There is critical opinion and there is malicious criticism and empathy. The first is tolerated (actually, encouraged!) the second is not. Here, you will respect. So, next time you will refer to me (or anyone else) as a "fanboy" you will receive a well earned warning status, fully justified by 4 different broken forum rules: Always be civil, Be agreeable even if you disagree, Be constructive & Stay on topic. 😉
Regards!
