Passive EQ
Hello everyone, hope all is well. Curious, Ive had Komplete 15 for about a month now and just notice Passive EQ isnt there. Am I missing something? I looked on Native Access and even tryed typing it in the search bar and got nothing. Do I need to purchase that separately?

Oh okay. Well that’s strange, it’s not showing up in my library. Is there a way for me to fix this?

Sorry I think it's gone, not there anymore on komplete 15, I can't find it listed in any bundle.

Seems like that group of 3 (Enhanced EQ, Passive EQ, Varicomp) are non longer being shown in the current packages.
What happened?

Same issue here, I can't activate, there is no passive eq in native access software.
I don't understand the response "native took it out with komplet 15" ?
It's not a response, I need to activate Passive EQ.0 -
Do you had a previous version of komplete with passive eqs in it, then you should have it, if not then it's gone, I also don't like it but I can't change it.

No I don't have a previous version, I waited to buy it and now I can't buy it anymore. It's not against you but Native Instruments have a stupid policy. I'll go look for alternatives elsewhere, this kind of process from NI is not serious.

Melda right now has a sale MTurboEQ for 9 euros, it contains many EQ models, and the free plugins are also amazing, I bought it and it's great like all the melda stuff.

More information for those who are searching to activate Passive EQ. They don't give a damn. So, for those looking to find this plugin to follow one of the many tutorials out there from just 2 or 3 years ago, sorry, but you're on your own, get out your credit card and spend money on plugins you know nothing about, as usual, taking the risk of spending more money on a plugin that’s not suited or less effective than Passive EQ, while feeding the cash flow of a company that couldn’t care less about its customers.

Some of the Mix/Master FX in Komplete were developed by Softube and licensed through Native Instruments, so the decision to keep them in the package or not may have not rested solely with them. They likely depend on Softube to maintain these, and probably had data (NB4 /grumbles/) that most users weren't even using them…
I'm pretty sure Vintage Compressors and Reverb Classics are also developed by Softube. I'm unsure about the Solid Mix Series plugins. They don't have prominent Softube branding, AFAICS, so perhaps not.
They may be working towards dropping some of these partner effects and bringing over more Plugin Alliance (and/or iZotope) plug-ins into Komplete. I'm pretty sure Plugin Alliance creates some of the same emulations, so it may not make sense for them to keep these specific plug-ins if it requires them to depend on Softube for development/maintenance or they require them to pay royalties for licenses sold.
For reference:
Enhanced EQ: Pultec EQP1A - Very common emulation. Even DAWs are introducing decent Pultecs in their Stock Plug-in Sets, these days…
Passive EQ: Massive Passive
Vari Comp: Variable Mu
Some Mix/Mastering Bundles have Massive Passive and Variable Mu emulations. An obvious example is IK Multimedia's T-RackS. I woulnd't be surprised if they were also in Plugin Alliance, UAD or Waves bundles, as well…
So, while it's unfortunate that the plugins were removed from the newest Komplete release (I'm pretty sure you needed Komplete Ultimate to get the Premium Tube Series plugins), they may have already become redundant - depending on what other products you own - or what DAW you use.
If so, then just replace them with what else you have.
I actually didn't realize they removed those products, and IMO they should have a notice on the website telling people what is removed - not only what it added.
