Artist Name Blocked in Decks UI
This is an issue that's plagued me since first getting Traktor Scratch 2, and having just upgraded to Traktor Pro 4 I was hoping this would be magically fixed but unfortunately it's still there!
There's a bar that overlaps with the Artist name in the Decks UI, shown in the screenshot below (it should real as Alix Perez). Does anyone have any ideas on whether there's a workaround to avoid this?

It might surprises you but the only reason for this (that i know of), is that the first "A" letter is not an English "A"!
Traktor still have big problem to read other languages (especially some Hindi, Greek or Arabic, looks completely "alien").
Just rename the track (and its tag too!) and make sure you use an English "A".

Thanks for your response, but that’s definitely not the issue.
It happens with any letter, only if the Artist name is over a certain amount of characters and so starts as far over to the left as it does in the screenshot.Does anyone else have any suggestions or is a bug that everyone else has?

Did you change the default view?
If so, make sure to put names etc. on the left side.
Because the right side is for use time, bpm and similar short tagsI have the names on the left side and they look fine.

I have always run it in the style as in the screenshot, I would rather not see the bpm and pitch and keep it minimal on the screen so I’m mixing by ear.

…then you have to accept the limitations (minimal is limited, by definition)…
or, you can choose something less minimal (so you can see the name), but hide those particular items (bpm and key note), though i have to tell you, i can not see the point of this… you can still mix by ear, no matter if you see the bpm or not… 😉

A limitation shouldn’t be part of the artist’s name being cut off when there is ample space for it to be displayed in full in the layout I have it set as….

It’s clearly a bug and I’m looking for a solution that doesn’t involve me having to change my layout

This is no bug, it is intended behaviour. Only the first column - which shows the track title in your layout - has a dynamic width. The two columns on the right are fixed width and are slim as they are intended for the short informations like time, BPM, key etc. That's the way it is - and it was this way always if I remember correctly. If this would be a bug NI would have fixed it sometime in more than 15 years I already use Traktor. As of now there is no solution without changing your layout.
Of course it should be possible for NI to change this in future releases but I don't expect NI to do this. If you make the columns on the right wider, you'll have to make the one on the left smaller. On smaller displays this could make them to slim to display full track names or artists (if shown in the row below - as it is standard for Traktor). And the right colums would be much to wide for short tags. NI could make both or all columns dynamic width fitting to the content - if possible. But what to do if all three columns contain wide information and you cannot make all fit? Which column to cut off information? It isn't as easy as making just the one column wider.
But feel free to make a feature request at NI and maybe they change something about it. But as stated above: As of now it is the way it is and no way around it.

I've just had a look at this. I'm assuming you've been playing with the preferences/track decks/deck header and you've got every thing off except top row, where you've selected title, off, artist. Yes?
When I did that, yes the left hand edge of the artist name gets cut off. However, when I did title, artist, off instead then it displayed correctly.
