Hello ,

Anybody else getting this grey window with Kontakt8 and Logic upon loading some libraries?

Only way to get rid of it is to force quit Logic.

I am not getting it with Cubase or any other DAW

    Hi Jeremy,

    No problem!

It was happening with different libraries during the loading of a patch from a library. Halfway through the loading process the window was turning to a blank gray and locking Logic.

I have tried everything from deleting Logic, Kontakt, preferences, caches etc to clean installation of Logic, Kontakt and whatnot but nothing helped.

In the end I have created a new user account on my Mac. it was a long and painful process but at least the issue is gone. So there was probably a corrupted file in my older user account that I was not able to locate.

It was happening with both Sonoma and Sequoia. MacBook Pro M1 Max originally and I have used Time Machine to transfer it to my new M4 MacBook Pro Max which appereantly also transferred the corrupted file.

All good now with the new user account.

    Thank You for checking!

Hey trhere, sorry to stumble upon this thread so late after you posted it.

Is it only happening with this library? Other ones? Which ones?

What's your operating system? What kind of Mac is it? Macbook, Silicon, Intel? Are you using any external monitor?

Do Logic and Kontakt both have full disk access? How to Enable Full Disk Access on macOS
