I installed Kontakt 8 and uninstalled previous versions. I also deleted the files instructed to delete. Any idea why this is still here? Thanks!!!!!! Happy New Year!
you must of missed a file when deleting, I had this the other day , I’ll find the post that helped me find the file .
here , for me it was the json file , I found it by doing a finder search in Mac OS

THanks. FYI… I am running Windows 11
I have this version of Native access: 3.16.0 (e4a365d/ 1.22.0.0
Per a note from techworker1 in discussion: https://community.native-instruments.com/discussion/8433/how-to-remove-kontakt-6-completly I found and removed the file C:\Users\Public\Documents\Native Instruments\installed_products\Kontakt Application.json The issue persists.
I’m not familiar with windows , could there be any duplicate file versions, its got to be a file somewhere , as I think that’s the only thing that would give you that error msg
Are you suggesting a duplicate ".json" file?
yeah , maybe
Here are all .json files beginning with "k"
thats it.
delete the kontatk application json , 5 from the bottom
on my Mac Kontakt 7 and 8 have there own json file
Deleted. No joy. I appreciate the effort. I have submitted a ticket to support.
the photo above is from my shared folder on my external drive
But this photo is the second location I have those files ,in the shared folder on my internal hdd , don’t know why I have two locations, but as I’ve just installed 6 again , native access has put it in the folder on the internal , but as you can see Kontakt app is for 6 , as Kontakt 7 and 8 have their own
Ok , let’s us know how you get on
I see. Thanks The list I posted earlier was a search result so it revealed ALL .json file from ALL folders in WIN. It only appeared once.
