    Point taken. But you haven't explained what "buy and build" might mean. I think that's a telegraphing of their intent.

    Their intent may mean "buy and build" market share. Or "buy and build" - their actual portfolio. Or it just be some goofy filter on the web site.

    One thing is for certain - have never seen any private equity firm care about anything long term - except their own bottom line. So I would not read too much into this.

    BUY a company

    BUILD it the way you want…

    in this case, transforming it from a company with expansions, libraries AND programs/synths to a company pointing all on the products that brings cash in but requires a lot less development (expansions and repeated libraries like Play Series).

    Which is not negative per se, if that is what you are looking for

    …and the delivery guy told them “guys…why don’t you come to work in my pizzeria? The work there is really less stressful. But if clients tell you the pizza will improve with a couple salami slices, don’t give them cheese instead…and only after years…they will go search for the pizza they want in other pizzerias listening to their needs. Even if they find our pizza dough better”
