K7 will not play Kontakt Factory Library 2 Multi's. Why?
I can play any of the instruments but when I go to play the multi's it tells me it can't find the files even though Native Access points me to exactly where they are supposed to be. When I say to ignore it, it tells me to upgrade my version of Kontakt even though it's the latest update (7.10.7).

Multis are indeed only intended for Kontakt 8. There is no way to use them in K7. Feel free to completely disregard them. This is not going to change.

However - it appears that parts of these multis use the new Phrases tool which is part of K8 - hence the message about Kontakt being too old.
But I agree - K8 or no K8 - a guy should still be able to use every single bit of this KFL2 - including the multis - with K7 - uninterrupted.
Almost feels like a bug report here - as we cannot even use the multis at all…
For the first time in a long while - I logged a ticket. Let's see where this goes.

What doesn't make sense is that they're listed in a Kontakt 7 library if they're only intented to work with Kontakt 8.

Agreed. These Multis should never be something I could even click on within K7.

Well this is obviously high end marketing folks! Another form of advertising really. "See what you could get if you have Kontakt 8?" I still am not sold on 7 and they have 8 coming out already.

This is only an issue if you actually click on one these things in K7. Not marketing whatsoever.
And - it is really also only an issue if you actually update the Kontakt Factory Library 2 - which is not a requirement for anyone running K7.

Update your K7 and you don't see presets that require K8 anymore

Running 7.10.7 since the first hour it was available and K8 Multis are not hidden for me.
This is exactly why I posted on this thread.

Looks like they're only hidden in the Library view.

Typical that NI would forget about how 98% of people actually use Kontakt. I almost never use the Library view.
Mind you I barely ever use Kontakt as a standalone instance now either - unless I am working with a library that uses the Files area.
I am in Komplete Kontrol at all times.
Again this is not a biggie for me but it should be hidden everywhere if that is the actual intent.VP
