This just came in to my email , if you don't get your email then try asking N.I. Purchase Support if the deal can be extended to you also ๐

I think this is on purpose - But to be honest, I think this is a really bad move from NI. At least I start getting really annoyed in these things.
I have the Collectors Edition and updated to every Komplete in the last 6 years (only the last one I skipped) - I spent so much money with NI - And their response is "Well, the update price is not changed, even though you spent so much money already with us, but for a few Euros more, you would get the whole pack without even one version before" Weird decisionsโฆ.
I will wait for next year for the summer sale2 -
It gets stranger. An upgrade for me from Ultimate to Collectors would be CA$1559.00 but a new license for Collectors would be CA$1169.50. (Not that I'm looking at Collectors, but if I wereโฆ.)

There is never a CyberSeason 50% off on Komplete upgrades.
The deals out there are for new users only.

Are you actually logged in to your NI account when accessing the deals. Here is what I see (as a fellow Canadian K14 ULT licensee):
The same two prices (for ULT and CE) I have been offered since Komplete 15 dropped on Sept 27.
No 50% deals here for me - as expected.

Don't know what it was called, but there were always discounts, even for upgrades. This is from December 2023:
If I remember correctly, then they switch every year their Product, either Full (this year) or Upgrade (last year), so I will wait for next year for an upgrade.

Do not understand German - but yes - in year 2 AFTER a new Komplete drop - upgrades are possible.
But never in year 1. Which this year - 2024 is.
Komplete 14 was released the last week of September 2022 - and this graphic is from Dec 2023. Make sense to me.
Historically speaking - we may see 50% upgrade deals for K15 in Dec 2025. Will need to wait and see.

So I save 50 cents to upgrade to Ultimate from Standard after years of buying keyboards, instruments and bundles?
NI: when it comes to understanding how to treat loyal customers you are utterly clueless.
Find the person who made this decision (no matter how far up it goes) fire them, and you will see your business improve.
Also, while I have you here, the unnecessary complications you add for customers by linking software with your hardware is also undoubtedly costing you business.
You would really do well to find someone with an open mind to fix your business model. You're clinging on to old ideas that sabotage your success and again, would really benefit by learning how to show appreciation for your customers.1 -
"So I save 50 percent to upgrade to Ultimate from Standard after years of buying keyboards, instruments and bundles?"
You mean like all the rest of us have done as well?
What exactly are you expecting - NI to hand you a K15 ULT upgrade for free?

No, what on earth would make you think I expected anything for free?
A new customer gets 50% off.
An upgrading customer who has spent thousands of dollars at Native Instruments has no additional savings on the upgrade. They have put the value of existing standard at "zero" when it usually reduces the price by the value of the initial product.1 -
As I started the thread I was not aware of the fact that NI switches the Discounts every year, so you can expect a discount on upgrades in November 2025. That happended 2023, 2021, 2019โฆ..

You're kind of missing the point.
If there were no discounts on release years, that would be fine.
But offering NEW customers 50% off is an insult to loyal customers.
I gather some people don't follow what I'm saying so let me spell it out. These are in Canadian funds:
BEFORE BLACK FRIDAY
KOMPLETE ULTIMATE:
NEW CUSTOMER: $1559
UPGRADE FROM STANDARD: $779
ON BLACK FRIDAY
KOMPLETE ULTIMATE:
NEW CUSTOMER: $779.50
UPGRADE FROM STANDARD: $779
New guy off the street basically gets 100% of the benefit I get for having bought standard (and a bunch of packs and early release stuff, and 2 keyboards)
If you don't get why that's insulting, I don't know what to say to you. But this is not what customer appreciation looks like.1 -
"If you don't get why that's insulting, I don't know what to say to you. But this is not what customer appreciation looks like"
It's called marketing. And it has been this way since the beginning of time. New customers get a nice break and consider joining the NI party. No big deal to me - and I have been an NI customer since 2002.
"New" Komplete bundle upgrades are NEVER 50% off on Black Friday or Cyber Season (or whatever you want to call it).
There is a very special voucher going out specific customers with a 50% off upgrades for only ULT and CE - but that is it.
If this was insulting - there would be thousands of us complaining. As you can see - we are not.
No one is forcing you to buy anything or do anything. If you like the prices - hop in. If you do not - don't.
But I am not exactly sure why you suddenly expect "customer appreciation". This is just the usual sale that NI always has at this time of the year - just any other vendor you have ever used has a sale.
I do not see Toyota offering me 50% off a new Highlander because I am a good customer and bought one a few years ago.

First of all, and your condescending tone would be fine if it sounded like you had a clue about what you're talking about.
The way you put words in my mouth to make your point is highly annoying. First you said I wanted things for free, and now you've presented ridiculous argument about a Toyota.
I have time today, so let me explain it to you.
YOU:
I do not see Toyota offering me 50% off a new Highlander because I am a good customer and bought one a few years ago.
Ok. In this scenario, Toyota is giving a NEW CUSTOMER 50% off. But NOT the customer who is doing a "trade in".
Native Instruments is giving the NEW CUSTOMER 50% off, but nothing to the existing customer who has ALREADY PURCHASED 50% of Ultimate. It's not "exactly" a trade in , but I already own half of the product which NI thinks I deserve nothing for.
I see you have like 2600 posts on here. Maybe you should take the time to understand what people are saying before answering, because you really wasted my time.
I'm giving unfriendly feedback to NI in hopes they learn from it and understand other customer perspectives.
I won't be responding to (or reading) any more of your posts.1
