Tonal Balance Control 2
Hi All,
I just strated using Tonal Balance Control 2, I'm running it as a standalone as I dont own any other Native connected programs.
I'm trying to match a commerical release of the first movement of Mozart's Clarinet Quintet, K. 581. I have managed to get it very close in the Low, Low-Mid and High-Mid Bands, but I'm not even close in the High Band, I am way too high and no matter what curve I apply in my EQ, using the stock EQ in Logic, I cannot bring it down to match what Tonal Balance Control 2 says it is. Please see attached screen capture, the high band.
It does not sound too bad, but the highs are still too high. Can anyone suggest another way to bring down the highs?
All the best,
Rob

Are you trying to match by putting an EQ on your master bus or in the mix on the individual channels?

I tried the EQ in the Master, It did not nake a difference. This screen shot will show what I have done.

Hi RJK, I don't think you will be able to EQ any program material into submission so it fits the curve in TBC2. Some work will also be selecting the right track material and sometimes multi band compression is the better option in common to EQ.

Yes, No EQing is going to get me there. Best I just listen. I did discover that my reverence was a live track, maybe that has something to do with it.
Thanks for your thoughts.
