Error Installing NA: Windows cannot access the specified device,

Hello,

after installing, the Native-Access_2.exe as Admin, it shows this Error

[Window Title]

C:\Users\A\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Native Access.lnk

[Content]

Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item.

I doublecked, the file "Native Access.lnk" exists.

Any Ideas?

Hello,

the lnk file is just a link to the exe file it tries to open. This error could be due to the ransomware protection, so you maybe have to add it as exclusion.

Or try to start it as administrator by right clicking on the shortcut and select start as administrator, if it's a tile in the start menu it should also show this option, or if you use the search function from the windows bar

@Klaus.Meier Check if the file linked by "Native Access.lnk" exists - right click on "Native Access.lnk", select Properties then click "Open File Location". It should show you the location of the file "Native Access.exe". The first thing to check is that the file exists. If it exists double-click it and see if it opens. If it doesn't open, or if it doesn't exists come back here for more help!

Hello, I am trying to install NA and I am getting the same issue. The problem is that the Native Access.lnk file is not there in the specified folder. How can I fix this?

Download NativeAccess and try install again
or
try to find it on your harddrive and start it directly:
(can be like this)
"C:\Program Files\Native Instruments\Native Access\Native Access.exe"

Hi, the file doesn't exist for me, despite me redownloading it multiple times.

FYI it's downloading the .exe file directly and I don't know if it's supposed to do that, because as soon as I run it and it says "installing", the error shows up
