Why do some things become worse in Maschine 3.0?

Why are NI's own plugins no longer shown with controls under the mixer view in version 3.0? Now I only have the option to display and pin the plugins in the window. Why are features “removed” in a newer version?

Apart from the many crashes I have had since version 3.0. there are at least 5 other things that I immediately notice when comparing them directly.
There are incorrect or irregularly used icons and what is the purpose of the light ring in the aux and audio in pots? This is absolute nonsense.
The labeling of the plugins is also no longer centered.
That are just small things, but why do some things that were once correct become worse? 😒

I checked every day for months when version 3.0 would finally be released and was full of anticipation because a version 3.0 was long overdue. It's one thing that not many new features have been added in that time, but the fact that some things have gotten worse is really sad.

    Doesn't work 😞 The icon bypass the plugin.

    This is another good example for an irregular symbolism. 🙄

    yup… i marked the wrong icon, it is the arrow on the top of the channel. 😏

    This icon pops the plugin out in a floating window like every other (3rd party plugin). In Maschine 2 every NI Plugin was extended, but stays in the chain like the internal plugins. You can still pin it, but then the plugin is always on top.

    I posted especially this in the other area too. Here is the discussion in general, because there are more things which getting worse in a newer version. Only small things, but why?

    On the other hand there are so many things to do under the hood (auv3 support for example). And since 3.0 I got more crashes than ever before 😒

    I hope many things will fix in near future. Meantime I prefer Maschine 2

    I'm guessing it's just a bug, there are other window plug issues then could also be related.

    Are there even any meaningfull numbers of AU V3 plugins out there? Honest question as I mostly only see it mentioned for iOS/iPadOS.

    Like what?

    Apart from bugs and a GUI that is super duper dark I dont see anything else that gotten worse… mostly because also not much changed.

    I don't usually post here anymore, but everything got bigger on v3, so now you have to scroll the plugin pop up menu to see all entries, v2, it was all on screen at once, v3 you see less available sound slots on screen at any time vs v2.
    There are other things too, but yes 100% v3 is worse in a bunch of areas.

    True… That would fit in the GUI category, I said "too dark" but there's many other small things like the one you just mentioned that I don't like neither. Sometimes on new changes theres trade offs but regarding the GUI some things seem to have no advantage at all… for example:

    Same thing but V3 is only able to display 6 results instead of 17, thats less than half with no real advantage like having the text easier to read, bigger, higher res, etc… To me this makes no sense. Not to mention the color and having a ton of text just bunched up without a background per tag makes things harder to read, but this might be subjective.

    Anything else other than GUI stuff? I am asking because if all the gripes are in that category than maybe that should be in tittle and the actual topic, not a generic "V3 is worst".

    Another thing not working properly anymore is the classification and tag editor. I did a report about several flaws in it. It has evolved from annoying to painful. Not yet Reaktor editing painful, but close. They must have some absolute genius UI designers over there.

    The GUI is a step back. Too dark, too much contrast, there is no more division between sections. It looks like they tried to make it look cleaner without caring about the functional aspect.

    Sorry but, personally i do like a lot the dark GUI!

    For a pro musician who works for hours in the middle of the night, is highly appreciated.

    However (and while tagging, editing vendors/authors/comments)…
    black letters on dark gray background is a serious fault!!

    Seriously i am going blind… some white color needed ASAP

    I guess not everybody have the same vision because I would take those black letters on that light gray over white letter on black background ! And Maschine is the only software that I feel like that…

    that is a sure thing, every one has a different vision!

    …lets see how NI developers will handle this… 😂

    The only solution that can please everyone, is to add multiple schemes, as Reaktor has… or even better, skins!
