Komplete Kontrol AND Maschine 2
hello all,
my question is:
- I open my Maschine 2 DAW
- I ALSO open Komplete Kontrol Standalone
- I choose a sound out of the Komplete Kontrol Library
- I play this sound in the Maschine DAW with my Komplete Keyboard
- I record this Sound in Maschine DAW and I can here this sound and see beams appear
When I stop recording and play back in Maschine 2 DAW, there is no sound!
I wonder if there must be chosen a VST Plugin in the Soundlayer in the Maschine DAW, but there's no Plugin for Complete Kontrol. Or is it a problem with the Midi Settings, or is it that Komplete Kontrol Standalone is just to explore the sounds and its not possible to record them directly in Maschine ?
Thank you all

I think you should read the manuals, at least the basics. You are missing some "must know" information about all the devices/software you mentioned.
- When you open Maschine there is no need to open Komplete Kontrol stand alone too.
You can do everything you want on Maschine.
- All sounds and libraries you see in the Komplete Kontrol are also exists on Maschine (and usually, vice-versa).
- Your Komplete Kontrol keyboard works fine on Maschine, without the need of Komplete Kontrol stand alone.
- In both programs, their VST versions are not meant to show up. Neither Maschine VST plugin can be used in Komplete Kontrol, neither Komplete Kontrol VST plugin can be used in Maschine!
Their VST versions are to be used only with DAWs and other audio software (Cubase, Ableton, Logic, Studio One, FL Studio etc. etc.)

Thank you very much for your answer.
Im using machine for 2 years now, and im pretty aware, that I don't need to open Komplete Kontrol to use Kontrol keyboard.
Thing is: I sometimes work with Scale and Arp in the Komplete Kontrol Standalone, that's the only "place" where I can adjust Scale and Arp. Can't do that in Maschine.
And it would be, in my Opinion, much easier, to select a sound in the Komplete Kontrol Standalone, doing that scale and arp thing and the adjustments in any instrument, lets say Monark, and would be able to record all that directly in Maschine. What I have to do now is: Browse my sounds in Komplete Kontrol Standalone, doing my stuff, being happy with it, and then go back to Maschine and browse that sound again, and doing all adjustments again. So in my Opinion, Komplete Kontrol Standalone is just a Soundplayer, which I already have within the Maschine. So, I keep working in the Maschine, browsing my Sounds, doing adjustments, and all I can use Komplete Kontrol Standalone for is, to adjust Scale and arp.Or I should read all the manuals :)
Thx

It depends on what Komplete Kontrol keyboard you have.
Because if you have one of the S MK2 series, as i do, you can use Scale and Arp, in Maschine! 😉

just be aware if you “upgrade”, the latest MK3 keyboard does not integrate with Maschine at all, they dropped support. Was pretty sure the mk1 worked witching maschine with the scale feature tho.
