Traktor 4 Pro or 3 not recognized

I have not been able to get Traktor 4 Pro or 3 to recognize my X1 MK3. I installed the latest Native Access. Updated Windows OS and Traktor 4 pro software. When I go to Preferences > Audio Set Up > Audio Device, the X1 is not in the audio device choices. The X1 is powered on and connected via USB and the power supply is also plugged in. Oddly, the length of the track shows up in the displays near the shift button, but nothing I do on the X1 has a corresponding response in Traktor. Also, the Traktor software play button is not responding when I left click it.

    The X1 isn't an audio Device, so won't be listed in the Audio set up. You should see an X1 MK3 Settings and Colours section appear in the Preferences menu though.

    Is the X1 firmware up to date?

    Also, the power supply is only necessary if you intend to use the USB hub on the X1.

    I did update the firmware on the X1. I see the X1 MK3 Main and colors sections in the preferences, but how do I get Traktor pro 4 to respond to the X1 when I press a button or encoder?

    I appreciate your help, I'm sure it's a user error. I'm use to using my S4 so the X1 is an odd little creature...but I want to play with it! Lol

    Oh and I was going to use my headphones through the laptop for audio test, I was confused as to what was actually going on when I typed the original message. I will be so happy when the button and encoders work.

    So when you plug it in it should display which decks in the software it is going to control. Turning the loop or browse encoders should allow you to change the options, then click encoder to select - does you see that?

    Am i supposed to program the x1 through controller manager? Sorry this is driving me nuts...I have never not been able to get traktor working before

    No. It's plug and play.

    What do you see on the displays when you plug it in?

    Did you try another usb cable? Sometimes it can help to disconnect the power supply. X1 should work powered by usb of your computer.

    On first plug in i see the FX display on top and A/B display below, blinking. When i press the A/B encoder the track listing with time pops up but none of the controls actually do anything on traktor pro.

    I tried a different USB and same thing.

    Am I supposed to be doing anything with "controller manager"?

    I know you said its plug, and it's so weird it won't. I've never encountered this with my kontrol s4 or s2

    When i press this encoder it changes. The only encoder that does anything noticeable to the software is the one my finger will cycle through track collection

    After you have pressed the encoder you have exited the setup and now all controls should work. I can even see on your picture that hotcue number 1 has been placed. The top section is now in mixer mode and the knobs should control the equalizers.

    The 'empty' mapping is normal. All factory assignments are done in the qml code. The assignment list showing being empty is only for personalizing (overmapping) your own custom mapping.
