cyber season Alicia keys offer, confused

Hi, under Alicia Keys bundle it gives the following 3 options

  1. Full version 89.50
  2. Upgrade for Alicias Electric keys 22.00
  3. Upgrade for Alicia Keys 44.50

It highlights the full version and tells me I don't qualify for any of the cheaper deals

As I own Komplete 14 collectors edition and that included Alicias keys, shouldn't I be entitled to the 44.50 deal to get her Electric Keys?

Thanks

@Ojustaboo @OutofWAC Yes, I must admit this is pretty confusing.

    Let me rephrase it:

Full version for the bundle is 99,50€

Upgrade from  Alicia’s Electric Keys: 24,50€

    Upgrade from Alicia’s Keys: 49,50€

And for the message that you don't qualify. If you own Komplete Ultimate 14 CE you're entitled for the upgrade price, regardless what our website says, please ignore and buy. In any doubt, you can always ask for confirmation here: https://bit.ly/n1orders

I'm guessing it only applies if you have the individual product, but I'm not certain. @Jeremy_NI will know for sure.

To add to this, I purchased Alicias keys on its own earlier this year. I show the same three options, and all three of them say they are available to me as an owner of Alicias Keys. What is the difference in the 24.50 version and the 49.50 version upgrades for me? Does the 24.50 give me Alicia's Electric Keys? That's what i'm after it is. xD

I have the same question & I need the same answer, as there is no description of what these different options give the customer.

It looks like the Full Version ($99.50) includes both AEK and AK as a Bundle Sale price.

The Upgrade for AEK ($24.50) is if you own AEK and want to get AK to complete the bundle.

The Upgrade for AK ($49.50) is if you own AK and want to get AEK to complete the bundle.

Hi, I am also getting this error. I own Alicia's keys as part of my Komplete collection. Any update on this?

Okay… So I'm logged into my account. I also see the message about cheaper pricing not available, but I'm still able to put the 'proper' upgrade into my cart… I'm not really in it for this particular upgrade tho so, I don't want to purchase and activate, only for troubleshooting. And by proper, I've had AK since Komplete 8 I think… so yeah, I'd need to pay the $49.50.

    I understand the upgrade wording.

If you have AEK, you would pay $24.50 for the AK 'upgrade' (older NI product)
If you have AK, you would pay $49.50 for the AEK 'upgrade' (newer NI product)
If you have neither, you get both for $99.50

But yes, it is a little suspect that when logged in on NI's site, their servers are not recognizing which customers have which products and displaying messages that 'encourage' a purchase with higher price tag.

I'm not suggesting this is intentional, but indeed VERY confusing, especially for folks new to the NI universe and not familiar with how products are bundled and what comes with what.

I might suggest pulling this page down until the issue is resolved. As a business owner, its gonna be more of a nightmare to issue all those refunds for people inadvertently buying the wrong thing and then coming back once they realized the site was bugged.

Hmm, thanks, it also lets me put the £44 upgrade to buy the Electric Keys into my basket.

But it also lets me put the £22 upgrade to buy Alicia Keys into my basket.

As the only people who are supposed to be able to upgrade to Alicia keys for £22 are those who already own the Electric Keys, and as I don’t own the Electric keys, why can I put it in my basket, apart from the fact that buying it again is pointless, I also don’t qualify.

My concern is it lets me buy the Electric update and when I go to use it, it tells me I can’t, and I then gave to wait ages for a refund

I am confused. How many versions of AK's are there? I thought there was the old one and now the new one. What am I missing?

It could be that N.I. allows this for gifting purposes , who knows , your guess is as good as mine. I also added a note to my previous ping for Jeremy_NI about the discussion here so now he have had two notifications about this. Ref. My own post on the AK/AEK bundle subject.

Anyway , thee is really nothing new with respect to N.I. shop upgrade pages being less than optimal in functionality or the/a page being confusing. All that we can do is to report it and then hope that N.I. makes it work better and make things be less confusing.

I‘ve bought the upgrade for 22Euro.

And I think I‘ve made a mistake. I already own Alicias Keys and thought I would get Electric Keys with this upgrade. But that is wrong. Now I only see Electric Keys as Demo Version in my Native Access.

    Very odd!!

Why do NI allow me to buy the wrong upgrade what is not valid for me ???

Now I have to request a refund.

    What a nightmare.

the way i read if, you should have bought the other one that says upgrade for AK, so that way your get AKE. but i dont know for sure. its a little confusing. and odd no one from NI has commented yet.

and odd no one from NI has commented yet.

It's the weekend and NI staff usually don't work on those, that's why.

I think what DiosGnosis initially said is correct. If we dissect it (sans discount):

    • The Bundle costs €199,00
    • Alicia's Electric Keys costs  €149,00
    • Alicia's Keys costs €99,00

Now, you obviously need to match the difference to reach the bundle price.

We know that the upgrade cost for Alicia's Electric Keys is €49,00. For Alicia's Keys, it's €99,00.

This means: If you own Alicia's Keys, choose "Upgrade for Alicia’s Keys". If you own Alicia's Electric Keys, choose "Upgrade for Alicia's Electric Keys".
