    Probably first we will see adds that are very very very more more important … in musical way. For example, a new LOGO but this time in orange colour. Because people miss the old orange one and that is negative psicological influence in order to make music. 🤣

    Anyhow….. it would become more an Instrument than the usual Sampleplayer-GrooveBox

    PitchBend and Mod was added to the Hardware, it´s time to unleash the Aftertouch capability of the Maschine..

    I’m sure it is coming but there are a lot of changes needed under the hood in how it handles MIDI recording and automation, it’s not as simple as just enabling it for instruments

    It certainly is not full integration with NIs keyboards and plugin instruments without it

    This isn't possible yet but should be addressed in a future update. No ETA to share yet.

    That's pretty significant news to be dropping in a random thread.

    WHAT?

    I´ve ordered this noon a MikroMk3 because the pads are advertised that they have Aftertouch, and now by accident I´ve to read, that this isn´t functional?

    why gave I N I another chance? boah, go berserk 🤬

    I really would love for this to get added soon. I use the M+ as the brains for a DAWless setup and I have a Nektar GXP49 keyboard that is routed to the MIDI IN on the M+ so that I can play numerous external synths connected via midi hub on the MIDI out of the M+.

    By sending the midi notes from the keyboard through Maschine, I lose all of the aftertouch information from my keyboard which sucks. It makes no sense that NI makes hardware and software instruments that support aftertouch but they don’t work within Maschine which is the closest thing to a DAW/composition tool in the NI ecosystem. I imagine most people using hardware synths with Maschine would love to have this feature.

    @The Sarge
    I could be mistaken but I believe the pads on the controller support aftertouch when it’s used as a generic midi controller outside of the Maschine software. It’s the software that’s the problem, aftertouch doesn’t work within Maschine regardless of which controller you use.

    Do you just want to use Maschine Software?

    after 15 years that the Maschine Hardware has Aftertouch, the Maschine Software is about to recognice it, maybe. Until now it´s used to modulate noterepeate Velocitylevel.

    In the Controller Editor you can even choose poly- or channelpressure per Pad.

    @The Sarge If you only plan on using the Mikro as a MIDI Controller it does support After Touch, it's the Maschine software itself that does not support it.

    Just note that the Pads in MIDI Mode are way less sensitive then when using/controlling Maschine software. so… yeah. 🤷‍♂️
