And is the "computer midi keyboard" only piano roll on the selected channel? or can you play the kit with it? ( the 16 pads )

    Dam, dam dam lol

Cubase 14 dropped a few hours ago, and I immediately upgraded.

Going to have to wait a month before I dare ask to upgrade my Maschine lol

So better routing in a daw didn't make it to 3.0 software?

Can anyone who upgraded confirm the Kontrol S Mk2 integration was or was not carried over to Maschine 3.0? The Mk3 integration looks like it has most of the features I use (transport, scale/chord, NKS, etc). But I'm not ready to upgrade my hardware just yet.

There are some Sampler improvements in the works (perhaps for this year), but Time Stretching is not one of them yet.

It's taking quite long time for the update to appear. Why isn't it automatic anyway? Waited over 1 hour now.

No. In full, here is the compatibility breakdown:

Maschine 3 software functions without hardware but also works with the following Maschine pad controllers:

    • Maschine Jam
    • Maschine Mikro MK3
    • Maschine MK3
    • Maschine Studio
    • Maschine+ in controller mode
    • Maschine+ in standalone mode compatibility will be added ASAP. Currently projects created on Maschine+ in Maschine 2 format will open in Maschine 3, but not vice versa.
    • Supported Kontrol keyboard controllers:
      • Kontrol M-series
      • Kontrol A-series
      • Kontrol S-Series MK2
      • Kontrol S-Series MK3

The update is well worth $30 in my opinion, M2 update seemed bigger but cost more. All is fair here IMHO. The new features are great! I’m hoping for more in the future and would love to know the road map, especially for aftertouch and some plumbing on the sampler, I super want to be able to turn looping on and off for all samples on a multi sampled instrument if your listening NI….

The new features are fantastic! I’m on the edge of my seat waiting for the M+ update now.

I guess it's because the Maschine controllers rely on the host computer CPU to render it's UI, whereas with the Kontrol (mk3) devices they prefer to render it on the device itself? So rather than working the Kontrol hardware backwards into the existing system, they are seeking to build something new/direct?

I'm presuming that once that is in place, it will form the basis of a new Maschine controller a few years down the line which will follow a similar architecture. Could be miles off on that presumption, but it seems more logical that they go with a similar architecture for devices that share similar assets.

@Jeremy_NI I am in the same boat as @Clubber70. I purchased the Maschine 3.0 Upgrade Bundle but I do not see the Maschine Central Library in my Native Access account. I was able to download, install and run Maschine 3.0. I've tried refreshing but still no Maschine Central Library.

I don’t think that is the case though because it is rendering the plugin view, including all the NKS2 features. Compared to those I can’t really see how adding the browser would be any more demanding so I hope this is more a case of something that needs completing. The good thing is it is already a lot less ‘basic’ than it could have been
