No Mic output maschine mk3
hi all, i cant record the mic in the sampling mode when i switche the input source to “ext. Mono or stereo”. It only works with “internal” but than i record the mic and all other things running atm. This is my set up when i’m not in the studio to listen via macbook speakers. With the audio interface it works fine to my hearts content and i also use an aggregated device.
Can someone please help me.
Here are some pics.
when u compare the pic with “internal” source to “ext. Mono” source than u gonna notice that in both pics u see the little orange input level meter of the mic at the left to the 80 bpm note inside the name bar. So both settings get a signal of the mic, but only “internal” is active and puts out a sound.

What mic are you using? A dynamic one connected to the MK3's MIC IN? Is the MIC gain knob all the way up?

Hi D-One, I'm using a dynamic mic SE V7. Its plugged into line in with the gain knob fully increased. I do get a sound and I can hear it, but I can't record inside sampling mode with the source adjusted to Ext. Mono.
It is utterly strange, since I use the same settings with my mixer as the output connected to the Mac and it works fine, but not with the MacBooks speakers.

sorry, I meant mic in and not line in, so the mic is plugged into mic in.

Hummm It should be IN L or IN R, have you granted Maschine SW microphone permissions in MacOS preferences?
System Settings>Privacy and Security>Microphone

I don't do apple; but is this the aggregate device setup you mac folks use? Is there something specific required to tell the aggregate device where inputs are located/assigned?

Some folks I guess, it merges audio interfaces so they act as one. Useful since Maschine does not allow users to select separate interfaces for Input and Output, for when using laptop speakers + MK3 inputs or similar…
No, it detects automatically but we can name the IO, order, etc…

Right, but how does maschine know "In 1" is the port on maschine as opposed to a mic input (or the actual mic) on the laptop? Does that need to be specified somewhere?
I only mention that I don't do apple because I'm just kind of guessing here. I don't know how this page will look when using an aggregate device.

Mic input is a separate "interface" on Mac and not enabled in his screenshots, only the 2 INS from the MK3.
Page would look the same, like so:

Understood. So his input setup in maschine would still show something like "mk3 in L" (or however it's listed)
@Erik Stocker : Can you post a screenshot of the routings page in maschine?
