Stems on TP3: send track to another deck...

Hey guys!

Trying out STEMS on TP3, and mapping keys on my X1MK2

Lets say I have a STEMS file on deck A. I mute some of its tracks for example. When I duplicate it on Deck B, it doesn't carry the mutted tracks info. So if i'm rocking an Acapella, and I wanna send it to deck C, So I have free deck to load the next song.. Its not an Acapella anymore because all the mutted tracks while it was on A, are now unmuted on C.

Anyway I can duplicate a track to another deck and it carries the muted and Fx stats to it?

    I foud a bug in Deck Duplicate LED feedback. When you drag+drop a track to duplicate it, that action is not reflected on the LED feedback. Deck Is loaded works but only initially - if you drag to duplicate the same track again then nothing happens. So the concept works as long as we are doing this by pressing buttons on the controller. I can make A and B mapping for this. What button or button combo would you use here, SHIFT + Load?

    I'm using instant doubles to duplicate the track. thats the problem: traktor doesn't duplicate the STEMS settings

    I see how you can do this with the power of Traktor mapping. Each Slot mute can be a modifier if you route midi back to Traktor and assign it to a modifier - this setup will allow your mouse clicks to be detected as MIDI events. Otherwise just use a modifier (toggle) configuration if you don't need to sync actions between GUI and controller LED feedback.

    Slot 1 is linked to M1=1
    Slot 2 is linked to M2=1
    Slot 3 is linked to M3=1
    Slot 4 is linked to M4=1

    In this kind of setting, when you enable Slot FX 1 then the M1 will set it's value from 0 to 1. And you can use that value as a condition for your deck duplicate buttons. If M1=1 (Deck A Slot 1 FX = 1) then Deck B Slot FX send value 1 when duplicate button is pressed and vice versa.

    Thanks for your idea. It could work but not in my case. First because I would need the same both for mute status and for FX status on each STEMS track too so.. 8 modifiers used and that would top out modifiers for that device.

    Also, I also duplicate tracks from A to B, from A to C or from B to C. S that method can't account for that.

    And has I heavily use complex mappings on my devices, my modifiers are pretty much topped out already.

    I just don't know how trakor has stems for so long and this simple feature isn't implemented.

    Its like i'm fighting everyday NOT to switch to Serato..

    at this time, the only reason I haven't jump the fence is because i'm used to CUP instead of CUE.. so that would be a big difference not having that in Serato

    I see how 8 modifiers are stupidly limitaed when it comes to native mappings. Serato is a mapping toy. Let me try to cook something with global midi controls.

    I'm not sure what you trying to do, ive never done global midi. how will it work over the normal mappings of my X1? I've got many other custom mappings on my X1 that I cannot live without.

    my shortcuts for duplicating tracks are:

    Shift + left-most-FX to duplicate from B to A.

    Shift + right-most-FX to duplicate from A to B.

    Shift + Left-Load to duplicate from A to C

    Shift + Right-Load to duplicate from B to C
