Session Guitarist Acoustic Sunburst Deluxe - No way to choose "upbeats?"
Pardon my ignorance as I am a relative newbie when it comes to this, but I am recording via Universal Audio's LUNA, using Session Guitarist: Acoustic Sunburst Deluxe through Komplete Kontrol ver 3.3.2.
I found a new perfect strumming pattern for a tune I'm working on, but I require certain parts to end on an "upbeat," but it appears (as far as I can tell), that this is not possible. In fact, I have not been able to find any patterns that do (and this also goes for "Electric Mint," "Electric Vintage", "Strummed Acoustic" 1 & 2, etc.) I understand why the patters are not "editable," but is this "just the way it is?" Is there really no way to indicate on any particular pattern that you want this option? It seems very limiting when it comes to fleshing out song ideas unless you want EVERYTHING to be downbeats.
Does anyone have a workaround for this? And again, please forgive my "newbiness!"
Thanks!

I would just convert it in audio than move the region to the right to align in the upbeat.
but I don't know exactly what you are trying to achieve.

Thank, Don. Yeah, I thought about that. I suppose I could convert it to audio and chop it up and try to find a properly played chord to insert on the up beat, but I would find it curious if I'm the only person that's had this issue. I mean, there's always "a way," but the convenience of using the plug in is greatly diminished if that's the way we're supposed to address this issue.

I know what do you mean, I been in a similar situation, but it didn't happen enough times for me to try to figure out how to do it, I just chop e move stuff around as you said. I often produce reggae music, which as you know has a lot of elements upbeat, I know there are presets for reggae chops etc. that are played upbeat, but yeh they are specific patterns, I am not aware of a feature to shift everything, and I believe such feature would be advertised as is pretty unique.

The problem is that none of the 3 strummed acoustic instruments have the ability to make your own patterns. To me that was a complete surprise. Maybe OK is you've hit a brick wall when composing new songs to give you some inspiration but even then most of the "songs" are just "meh". And just try to match any of the internal patterns to songs you have made. Good luck with that. Too bad really, they've all 3 got some good stuff but that glaring omission is a real deal breaker.

yeh would be nice to be able to edit your own patterns… however I been able to use the preset patterns in few occasion, in the way I use it, I mix them with some real guitars (played by a fried of mine) and they kind of fit, I am actually working on an alternative pop song right now.. and session guitarist it shined particularly in this scenario, you kind of forget that were pre-recorded patterns in a full mix. (at least in my specific case).
but yeah custom patterns would be another level!
