CPU Spikes and DAW Freezing Kontakt 7
Kontakt 7 (version 7.10.6) has CPU usage spiking to 100% when used with 'Percussion Untamed' by Westwood Instruments, in Cakewalk by Bandlab (latest version).
PC, with Windows 11, 5 core, 32GB RAM.
Cakewalk freezes and I have to shut it down and restart. I contacted Westwood who say the issue is most likely Kontakt or a processor issue.
I've been in NI support chat waiting for an agent for over 30 mins. No one has turned up yet.
Any help would be very welcome.

Hey @Kerryman Sorry you had to wait, I see that you were finally able to get in touch and my colleagues got back to you.
Is the issue only happening in Cakewalk? Can you reproduce the issue in Kontakt in standalone?
Is this library installed on the same location as other libraries where you don't have similar issues? On an external drive? What's the format of that drive?

I only use Cakewalk. I haven't replicated the issue in Kontakt 7 standalone. The library is not on an external drive.
I ran the support tool that was sent to be by Cliona, and sent it back this morning. I'm still awaiting her/your response to that. Perhaps it would be best for me to await the feedback once it has been viewed?
If you are in touch with anyone reading emails, perhaps you could let them know that the diagnostic tool has been returned?

No, I'm not. I've been ignored. The time I spent running the diagnostic tool was completely wasted, as no one came back to me having looked at it.

My colleague replied to you on Friday, our offices are closed during the weekends, so he will get back to you as soon as possible, like for every customer. I can understand the frustration but please have a little bit of patience. Thanks for understanding.
