Battery 4: Relocating Samples (Prefrence Menu)
Hi there!
I've been running into an issue regarding the location of by Battery Kits. I've installed them on an external Hard drive, but when I open up Battery it can't seem to find any of the Kits (in Native Access I have set the location for all my Battery Content). I figured that I had to point Battery to the Hard drive folder, where the kits are stored, but where do I do that? I have neither found a menu nor something similar…..even though some sort of "Preferences" are mentioned in the help article by NI.
Help is appreciated! Thanks a lot!

What's your operating system?
Can you post a screenshot of your preferences of Battery 4? Library Factory and User.
Please also post a screenshot of the installation path for the Battery Factory Library in Native Access.

I'm running Battery on Mac OS 15.0.1. I managed to locate some of the Battery Kits (I think the Factory Library is complete, but: some Kits of my Expansions are missing (I can tell since I searched my hard drive and found kits that aren't available in my Battery Interface).
Here are some screenshots:
Thank you!

First of all, Battery is not yet officially supported on Sequoia, although I don't think the issue is related to that.
Then checking your installation preferences.
For the applications we strongly recommend leaving those on the system drive at the default location. Please read this article carefully: How to Change the Install Locations in Native Access You should uninstall and reinstall all applications to the desired location.
Also, what is the format of this T9 drive? It should be APFS: Notes on Hard Drive Formats on Mac Computers

Battery is installed to my system Drive. The Format of my Hard Drive is ExFat. But if the Format would be the Problem, why does Battery load the Factory Library and some of the other Kits correctly?

The Battery installed on your system drive is the application. I assume the factory library and the expansions are stored on this Exfat drive and this is most probably the source of the issue. ExFat on Mac is simply not reliable and is the source of many issues, especially with some of our products, like Battery or Kontakt, this is why we strongly recommend to use drives formatted to APFS. Try reinstalling one of the missing libraries on your system drive as a little test.

Late to the party, but: ExFat is really horrible on the latest versions of macOS (used to work way better on older versions, go figure). Not even macOS' very own Finder search function can search on larger ExFat SSDs properly, so I wouldn't expect any 3rd party application to do better.
Quite a shame, really - as ExFat could be almost perfect for platform file interchange.
