Is an update comming for automatically flexible beatgrids detection like Algoriddim Djay Pro does?
For adding my Funk & Soul libraries by hand, life is to short!
I'm sad to say this, I'm seriously considering leaving my beloved Traktor system. Especially since Traktor was always used to being ahead when it came to features. Time changes … :(

I don't want to burst your bubble but the best grid detection out there right now still isn't perfect. I've tried Djay Pro and it's pretty good. I personally regrid everything I need in Logic Pro and then use my ears to make sure it's the best it can be. Logic Pro is pretty good - very good in fact - but it's not perfect and I often have to manually adjust the grid here and there to fix inconsistencies. We're still not ready for AI to do the job for us. It's good, but it's not flawless and I wouldn't want the software to decide these things for me.

I also tested Algoriddim Djay Pro and I have to say: it works perfectly! When Traktor analyse the grids for Hip Hop, Funk etc. every second song is not recognized where the 1 start and needs to be improved. I don't understand whats the problem to write a script that recognizes the peaks in a song and puts grids on it?? You can see it very clearly in the waveform. It can't beliefe that a renowned company like Native Instruments can't do it?? They let tractors wither away. Anyway, I'll probably switch. It's a shame, I've always been a big fan. Nobody takes Traktor seriously anymore. Well, I don't know anyone who uses Traktor anymore. Very unfortunate..

I agree, the Fluid Beatgrid system that Algoriddim uses is amazing. No it's not perfect, of course it gets confused sometimes, but a little human intervention occasionally isn't a problem.

I'm really quite surprised that no other DJ software has implemented their version yet. Who's going to be second past the post?

out of curiousity, when using both algoriddim DJ + traktor can the stem elements be used in conjuction with ableton sync to provide some crossover?

Just to let you know Algoriddim DJay was not the first to implement this type of beat grid detection Deckadance DJ by Image Line was the first to implement this kind of beat gridding in 2013 in Deckadance DJ 2.0. It was ahead of its time as a DJ software. Then the software rights were bought by Gibson group, which became a part of Inmusic group. Then got totally abandon. With all that advance tech of Deckadance DJ Denon DJ and Inmusic brand gave you Engine OS 🤣. Up to this day the 2013 Deckadance DJ 2 can beat grid tracks that only DJay Pro 5 can beat grid on the fly.

Not saying that I don't believe you. But I like to see stuff in action to verify proof of concept. Can you point me to a demo to see if this works as you said. You can google Deckadance and try the demo out and see the proof. I can't find a demo of RPM from Gizmolabs nowhere.

Man, this is nowhere close to being as advance as Deckadance DJ. I saw the videos on YouTube. I was talking about an actual software download link to test out there so call fluid beat grids. Nothing in these videos show that this software had fluid beat grid in 2007. 😂

You said you wanted to "see stuff in action" and "point me to a demo" so I did. 😏

The software is old. It's not sold any more. I have a copy on my computer but it no longer runs (it's that outdated).

If you'd read the review (first link I posted) you would have found a download link at the end. If you'd followed that link, you would have found a similar statement.

You can see from the videos that tracks are kept perfectly in time. If that's not proof enough then there's the written statement in the description of the software (which I quoted earlier):

"Reflex also uses Beat Track. This allows songs that have inconsistent BPM to be mixed accurately"
