Is Traktor Software compatible with Apple M3 chip and Sequoia 15.0
I recently purchased a MacBook Air with an Apple M3 running Sequoia 15.0. I have traktor 2.0 on my old Mac which I purchased in 2015. Can I transfer my Traktor 2, with all my songs and play lists, to my new Mac? If not, is Traktor 4 compatible with the my new Mac book Air. I have heard that there are all kinds of problems due to the new chip?

No, Traktor 2 will not run.
Traktor 4 should be fine with the m3 chip, but Sequoia is not yet officially supported. I read two reports of it working though.

Any idea when they plan on achieving support for Sequoia? Is it a priority for the company?

Always takes months.

ok. It didn't even occur to me that this would be the case! Are there any articles available about HOW to make traktor 4 work with Sequoia 15 right now, without waiting? And, if I purchased it and it didn't work what would be my options? Thanks.

I'd suggest trying the demo first, that way you'll see if it works for you without any cost. The comments over on Reddit are generally positive for Sequoia compatibility, but the official stance is "Not supported yet" as stated here - macOS 15 Sequoia Compatibility Statement – Native Instruments (native-instruments.com)

Your only option (if you need this running like now) is to install a supported OS - like Sonoma or Ventura.
But if you purchase it and insist on trying to run it with Sequoia - you will be putting yourself and your computer into an unsupportable state where NI cannot help you.
There are no NI apps supported under Sequoia as of now and when they are - NI will announce that.

I sure hope it's a priority. I hate to have to change to another type of software after all this time! Thanks for your help.

Why not just try and see if it works?

It will be months like it was last time. By the book - there are still a few key NI apps that are still not even officially supported by Sonoma yet.
And if you hate changing all the time - do not use the current Apple OS on the day of it's release.
It is always best practice (for MacOS anyway) to always stay one version back if you actually want things to work right.

Unfortunately if you buy a new Mac it'll almost certainly be loaded with the latest version of mac OS.

Some people are saying see if it works, others are saying it could affect the integrity of my computer. Guess I will think on it. Had no idea this would be an issue. Thank you all for the information and a place to go to get it. Appreciate it!

Understood - but the best practice still universally applies.
The world does not bend just because Apple releases a new OS. Or a user decides to buy a new Mac.
The user will need to bend (roll back) to get all the software they have already purchased back in normal use or sit there and enjoy their new Mac with an OS that almost no one (expect Apple) supports.
Option 2 is really not an option unless you are cool with waiting anywhere from 2-4 months (vendor dependant) until all your stuff is fully tested and supported.

lol! It's been a learning experience. I can't go back since it's a new Mac so I will have to wait. I'm going to stick with Traktor and wait until it's supported and go with Traktor 4. Do I keep looking on the site for the announcement? Is that the best way to find out?
