Native Access Error: "Path is invalid" when trying to locate an existing expansion
As per subject, i get the "Path is invalid" error message when i try to locate the expansion on my hard drive. The files are there. The existing knowledge base says i need to indicate the folder in which the .NICNT file resides… but there is no such thing as .NICNT files in the expansions.
What am i doing wrong?
Thank you in advance!

Hello neilyhype,
If you see "Locate" besides your product, this means this is a third party Kontakt Library that cannot be downloaded / installed via Native Access.
Native Access is only responsible for authorising the library and locating it for use in Kontakt.
You will first need to download the library from the manufacturer
Once installed, simply follow the steps in this article to add the library to Native Access:

I hope this helps☺️

Normally, if you keep your NI Content on external storage and reformat your system boot disk to do a fresh installation, you can use the Relocate feature of Native Access to point to the actual location for Kontakt Libraries only. Expansions, unfortunately, will have to be re-installed.

I agree. I'll redownload them
Thank you for your assistance still. Stay blessed

@BertTRP — NI Expansions can be relocated, provided you had already installed them on your system (not a fresh installation), and you just want to move them to some other disk volumes or external storage devices.

Hello,
what expansion (I think you maybe mean kontakt library!?) is it? Can't you just reinstall it?

Hello neilyhype, have you tried the Knowledge Base Article above?
Please let me know☺️

Yes I tried that. All Kontakt instruments are installing. The error is only showing for 'expansions' … aka London Grit

Here is a screenshot of the error

Have you checked the path with a file explorer and is the expansion in there.

Hello neilyhype, are you seeing "Locate" besides of your London Grift?
Please let me know☺️

Yes, and after I click "locate" and select the folder as seen in the screenshot, I get the error shown.
I did the same with the Kontakt libraries and those installed with no issue. The error only occurs with expansions.

London Grit is downloaded from native access. It comes with Komplete Standard. It is a Native Instruments 'expansion' … I think you are not fully aware of what is happening, because you keep assuming and sending links to unhelpful articles.

Hello,
You can try this, and tomorrow if I'm back at my PC and this didn't work I can search for another solution where you have to delete a file from native access but I don't remember the folder now.
And I can understand your frustration but please don't be rude, it was a busy day for the native guys I guess cause of the new release and we all can make mistakes.

Hello neilyhype, normally we are having this issues on the third party libraries. Are you using the latest version of the Native Access? Have you downloaded the Kontakt 8 Player?

Thank you for taking the time out and trying to assist. Unfortunately, this did not wor you

Can you open the folder of one of the libraries/instruments in a file browser and make a picture? You could also try, just for research, to create a new folder directly on a drive and put one instrument there, then try to locate that there. You can later of course move it.
